I did multiple beer mugs, shot glasses and rocks glasses for Christmas presents. I also did a flag on glass of a picture frame. All turned out great.

I love this idea but I really want to use a stencil that has no stick is that at possible. ❤

What size did you make that design?

Can you give me the measurement of your etched glass plate. I have tried several times and I cannot get it to fit on my 10 inch plate. Please help. I want to make some for Christmas gifts.

That is so pretty! You said you could do this on any color of glass so I'd love to try some bats on a black glass plate for Halloween, or maybe holly leaves on green for Christmas. Can you still see the etching designs through the color if you do it on the back of the plate? Thanks!

Hi there! You can etch on colored glass and would still be able to see the design. If you are etching on the back of the plate, make sure to mirror so that you are able to use the adhesive side on the plate! - Dawn 🙂

Do I understand that once you etch and wash it, it is food safe and you can pit food right on it? If I do the underside I have to mirror it correct?

If I etch on the front side of the plate would it be food safe or will i have to do it on the back side to be used for food.

Hi Darlene! You can etch on the same side that the food is on as long as it's washed before hand!

Once you etch it, can you put food on it and eat off of it?

We would advise etching from the back, however, Chrystal does give advice from about 1 minute into the video

I’ve seen people decoupage fabric to these glass plates before. Do you think it would work to etch the plate first on the back and then decoupage fabric on the plate after? I’m thinking a solid pattern or a nice plaid would really make that design pop. But I’m always scared to try my ideas in case I screw it up.

Well don't worry about messing anything up! That's the best way to learn. I think it really depends because you don't want the fabric pattern to take away from the etching.

@@DesignBundles if I decide to go for it I’ll show you the finished product. I agree it can’t be a busy pattern so it doesn’t detract from the original etched design. But a Buffalo plaid or Buffalo check or a solid color would really enhance the design I think.
