Just found this vid while researching the shade Fawn. Hopefully it works well for me. Cashew is a very good shade for my skintone but very warm, leaning orange on me.

I found the same with Cashew. While Fawn isn’t the most perfect match, it is the closest match for me.

As an update, turns out Fawn was waaay too lightweight for me. I added a lot of NYX darkening drops though, we're good now.

I was shocked when I first tried this foundation, It looks very natural but It covers everything, my only issue It looks so dewy on me but not like greasy or oily or is it just my skin because it’s summer, but lasts on me the entire day.

I have tried a sample of the Haus labs foundation and it might be top 3 of the nicest foundations I have ever tried. It’s on my wish list to get a full size. Which Dior foundations are you curious about?

I'm also interested in the forever skin glow. I have dry skin too with similar undertones, so I've been loving your channel! 🤗

@@marcellam.perillo456 Gosh I want to try both the Dior forever matte and glow. I hear amazing things. I may not do a dedicated Dior backstage video as the one I own is the old formula and it wouldn’t be helpful to anyone looking for new foundations as it is no longer available. I have an old Fall Makeup video with the Dior foundation in it. I’ll use it for future tutorials though. It’s in my current rotation.

I bought a pump for this at the orange app for only 60 pesos for 2pcs (about $1 and 3 cents) and works so well and I can control how much I can dispense. A huge price difference If I buy in Estee lauder for 700 ($12-13)

Its not because of concealer actually my friend has complains about it that it becomes patchy specially on t zone

The concealer I used is water based while the foundation is silicone based and they repel each other. Other reasons for separation are dehydrated/unexfoliated skin, lack of skin prep, or skin products/primer that repels the foundation. Oily skin is often oily because of dehydration also.

Always important to use plenty of hydrating products before using this and using small amounts of foundation. Many people with mature skin have used double wear for a long time.

It is a shade that would suit a skin tones that is in the light-medium range with warm undertones. Indians with light-medium skin might like this shade .

What’s the best primer to wear with this? I read it is silicone based so a silicone primer is best

It’s not true that silicone only goes with silicone! It depends on the formulation of the silicone or water base. So you can ofcourse go with the silicone primers but you can also use hydrating primers. Gripping hydrating primers would work as well as illuminating ones. I’ve used hourglass mineral veil with this as well as Becca backlight priming filter, Bobby brown face base. The best primer for any foundation is good skincare and skin prep. And then use a pore or oil control primer if you need it.

@@silvybothamakeup ahhh thank you so much! I used the elf power grip and I thought it worked pretty great but then I was reading the whole silicone vs water based thing and was not sure if I should switch it. Tysm for your insight!

@@Naturexoxo89 The best way to know it’ll work is to just try it. Most of us don’t have the knowledge of the chemistry of every single formulation so trial and error can be a big part of makeup, as well because we all have different skin types, what works for one may not work for someone else. I wouldn’t recommend you to use a Mattifying primer with this if you have dry skin, where an oily person might need one.
