I'm just doing my own 4" from the house to the street to get the roots cleaned out... Have a pressure washer at 3200lbs and 2.8 gal/min. Is that enough? I also have a cheap nozzle kit, but seriously considering moneying up for a $500 root cutter and be done with it. The Plumbing Co, that I've been dealing with (and has been supposedly respectful to me) gave me such an upsell and astronomical bid ($1700) for about 40 feet of line, that I decided to do it myself...

The thing is snakes (basic augers and machines) don't clean drains! They clear clogs (usually). Cleaning is much more involved. The jetter is definitely a key piece of cleaning equipment, but the toolbox jetter is for branch lines only. So, get the right kind for the job you want to do!

I cleaned drains for a living for three years. I jetted about 1/3 of my kitchen drains. But I have it as an option to the customer. Educated on the thoroughness of the Jetter and how it actually cleaned the pipe. Where as after you auger. That kitchen sludge is still there. You only poke a hole in it to allow water flow. One lasts much longer. But in the end. Customer decides and I’m happy to do whatever they choose. Your losing a lot of money not offering the jetter more.

Jetter you need a 45k harben jetter. 50 hp diesel trailer. Camera ridgid sea snake 12500.00 ram c/v mini van 2 times the fuel economy will let you pay for all the equipment over his gas hog. 9 vans 2 pick ups 1.4 million per year sales Net 400k per year That about the same as owning 3 McDonald franchises. With 10 percent investment. And 200 less employees

Robert Maki- ive been looking at all kinds of drain cleaning videos to see what kind of machines I want to buy. The one thing almost all these videos have in common is that you have commented on them 😂 Maybe I should ask you for advice on drain cleaning. I’m a plumber with 21 years experience. Just never got into drain cleaning. Always had the customer call someone else. Now I’m ready to dive in head first into the sewers. 💩

@@michael.imv.8989 You don't. roof work is dangerous. Stay off the roof. Quote to install a wall clean out and unclog from ground. Believe it or not, after you fall off the roof and put in a medical claim on his insurance, After the fact the ho would have preferred you to quote to install a wall clean out on the ground. That way you can unclog the drain properly in the future. Without any risk of falling off the roof. You make more money, the ho don't get sued ,you don't go to hospital and moving forward the property can be cleared easier.
