Hi Tony, yes I agree that Airalo is a great eSim provider. We spent time in Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria and Italy and the EuroSim was terrific at all these destinations. You are correct, tours, restaurants, public transport and map apps are all needed when travelling. Hope you enjoyed your time in Australia.

Hi Tony, i love watching your channel and thank you for the detailed explanation! Quick question, is there a major difference between MEO vs Fofo Mobil service? MEO indicated they work under 5G which may be limited in Portugal - do you know if the connection under MEO will constantly be interrupted?

Hi Wendy, we haven't tested those operators, but the answer depends very much on the part of Portugal you want to travel to. In the big cities, there shouldn't be a noticeable difference. 5G is limited in Portugal indeed and unless you plan on making heavy use of video calls or the likes 4G (or even slower connection) won't make such a big difference. Thank you Tony! I will try to use this eSIM for the first time on my visit to Spain in June. Do we have to wait until we land to activate it? Do you activate it before leaving the airport? When is a good time to do it?

Hello. It is recommended you install it at home before your trip. Before you put your phone in airplane mode for your flight, switch off your local SIM or eSIM and activate the Airalo eSIM. Finish the set up of your eSIM (following the instructions received). It will try to connect to the network is valid for but since you are home, it won't establish any connection yet. Put the phone in flight mode. When you land, disconnect flight mode, and you are good to go.

This is just the perfect timing! I’m going to Spain and Portugal next month and this video came in handy. I have a question, I’m spending around 10 days in Spain, then going to Portugal for a few days then heading back to Spain for a while. If I buy local e sim for Spain and local e sim for Portugal (because it’s cheaper than the regional rate), can I have both e sims and activate based on my geographical location? Can I reactivate my e sim once I am back to Spain after my short trip to Portugal? Thanks!

Hi Baraa, you can have several eSIMs on your mobile. Only one of them can be active at one time. But you can switch them on and off as you please. For as long as the eSIM is still valid, you will be able to use it. So, when you go back to Spain, if you Spanish eSIM is still valid, you will be able to activate it and use it.

Hi Tom, between 1 GB and 2 GB might be enough, if you spend more than that, you can always top up the card with more date.
