Escape The Fate - Not Good Enough For Truth In Cliche
Музыка
"Not Enough Enough For Truth In Cliche" by @escapethefate from the album 'Dying Is Your Latest Fashion'
Epitaph Records is an artist-first indie label founded in Los Angeles by Bad Religion guitarist, Brett Gurewitz. Early releases from a variety of punk heavyweights helped launch the 90s punk explosion. Along the way, Epitaph has grown and evolved creatively while sticking to its mission of helping real artists make great recordings on their own terms.

2023 and the time has passed, Im now 37 years old, married, father of two. I have a job, a comfortable house and stuff. But I'll never forget that time, when I just wanted to be Ronnie looking for his Juliet, trying to play and sing the REAL ETF. It's a time that doesn't come back, this nostalgia makes me happy for everything we've experienced. Thanks so much Ronnie, thanks ETF. This Chorus will always echo in my heart!

What a great comment. I'm 56 and never even heard of Ronnie all these years, despite all the bands my daughters loved and saw growing up. I only discovered him this year with Watch the World Burn but just saw him live a few days ago and it was the experience of a lifetime. I can only imagine the nostalgia of all those years and congrats on a happy successful life!

I loved this song so much in high school. This and "My Apocalypse" were songs I literally listened to everyday on the bus to and from school. Crazy that 15 years have gone by since then and Im still coming back to these old songs. This whole album will always hold a special place in my heart. To me, early ETF music with Ronnie was the best they've ever released.
@megan_leigh06

I found FIR and ETF early this year, I'm turning 18 and I listen to it on the way to school and back. I wish I was a teen in the 2000's in this era. What was it like? I daydream of it whenever I listen to Ronnie's bands
@jesellejane8708
3 күн бұрын
It was a way better time. The world was full of possibility and if felt like you could be whoever you wanted to be and say whatever you wanted to say. I listened to ETF in high school, my neighbor introduced me to them and I was hooked. I played guitar in a band and thought "if only we could be as cool as Ronnie and ETF! The world is definitely a much different place now, but I often think back to the early 2000s with a big smile on my face. But that's life, we all have our own experiences and you could be feeling the way I felt back then. 18 is a great age, you're just starting your life so make the most of it. The music you listen to will bring you back to a time like a soundtrack to your life \m/

It really does, teenage angst and all the raw emotions of coming into your own/adulthood while feeling like you were dealing with all the worlds problems on your shoulders....family, school, friends, that was life. What a time we lived boys and girls. Let's always come back and appreciate it. I want my kids to understand our 90s-2009 music. It was the greatest.

+John Garcia Hahah. Right? It sucks cause as KZread adopts higher qualities such as 4k, it makes other videos severely diminish in quality. I mean it's not entirely KZread's fault, but it's also not entirely the fault of the camera. Videos back in the day looked fairly decent, but compared to now since the frame size has shifted to match the times.. well.. stuff from back in the day looks laughably bad. At least the audio is relatively decent (on a headset).

+Daniel Silva I was pretty young when I first heard this track. I do still dig this song quite a bit. I cannot say the same for the other earlier singles in the "Ronnie Era". He has this weird thing where he'll hit super awkwardly high pitches at the end of lines, like "Situations" for instance. I just couldn't get into it much, he doesn't do that here which is probably why I like it more. And I'm not gonna spark a Ronnie/Craig war, but I loved early Blessthefall (still love that band to this day) and I think Craig has a great voice. "Something" is another killer track. Just my two cents. Nothing against Ronnie, I listen to A Skylit Drive, Crown The Empire, Coheed and Cambria, bands with notably high pitched vocalists, but something about Ronnie's sudden shift just.. doesn't work for me. He's not a bad singer I just personally find it out of place. But I guess that's part of what made them unique back in the day. Fuck I feel old.

I still feel this band got slighted so damn much. I wish they could still be together with this lineup. I like FIR and I like Beyond Unbroken and New ETF and Max's violent new breed . Every member of this and those bands are bursting with talent. But nothing snd no one has the spark Original Escape the Fate brought and I'll always stand by that

This band has so much high school nostalgia for most of us
I know this song isnt about anybody passing or isnt supposed to be sad but dang man i couldnt help but tear up to this song. I was so young when this song came out and me and my brothers would sing this so much while we were out skating. My sister always would hang out with us while we skated and had so much fun during these times. As i listen to this song today my sister has passed away and me and my brothers are way older. Thankfully i have my brothers with me but remembering my sister gave me little heart ache. Rest in peace my beloved sister.
This is such a killer song, Ronnie has such clarity and power to his voice.

He’s even better live! There’s a version of this he did acoustic in 2015 that shows you how good he truly is. And he’s like, messing around the whole time so he can do it RELAXED. Absolutely mindblowing.
