I've been recently updating my instrument options (getting new sound libraries and stuff). Expect the next few uploads to be a lot of experimenting, so apologies in advance :p
Some time ago, I remember bookmarking a VGM Sound Source speadsheet (docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...) that contained the source for instruments used in various games. That sparked the question: What if Super Metroid used the same Escape theme from the original NES Metroid, instead of what is now universally known as Ridley's theme?
Here's the result of how I imagine it. I enjoyed doing this one so maybe I'll try a few "weird" ideas in the future.

Kontakt (to use the OMI Sonic Images Universe of Sounds Vol 2 sound library)
EmulatorX (to use sounds from Proteus 1 and Proteus 2)
