For BLHeli_S and BLHeli32 ESCs: The first 3 beeps signify the ESC has booted (essentially just a startup melody), then 1 beep for signal detected and another one for throttle low.
How do you manage to always make a video about the thing I'm curious about that week? Maybe I'm just too curious lol.
Thanks, Lee! I managed to program my ARwingPro's SonicModell 40A ESC with the sticks after finding out that it is a rebranded Flycolor Flydragon Lite series ESC. I have a folding prop on it and wanted strong braking. BTW, watch out for the smaller black/red wires: not 5V BEC, but straight from the Lipo, so full pack voltage. Let the magic smoke out of two servos not knowing this.

It's always worth checking with a multimeter for this purpose. Those wires are probably meant to power a VTX or flight controller directly. No need to run additional power wires from the LiPo.
I mistakenly put my esc to soft rev up on my flying wing and now that I’ve flown 10 or more flights, I like it haha
Yep happy if the magic smoke dont come out , thats me. Thanks for the refresher had not given tbe beeps any thought for a while . Take care.
Hmmm... I didn't know about that, Lee! Thanks! 😃 I'm going to observe this better from now on! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you
One of my quads plays the Simpsons theme song when plugged in. I love it. Lol
good info as always. I'll be honest I've used a custom firmware on the esc's of one my quads and the start up tones now play Vaders march, it makes me laugh and that's why I did it lol. Stay safe Lee

Mine plays the rickrolling song 😂
Most of my ESCs are digital and do the startup sound like your Dolphin. The second set of beeps is the important one, that’s how I know it’s getting a “valid” signal from the radio or flight controller. If I don’t hear that, something in my control setup isn’t set or powered up properly, maybe the receiver isn’t bound or the FC didn’t initialize correctly.
and the best thing is where the beeping sound is coming from ^^
