OMG! Finally i found your video for my little boy ! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge 🙏
When I was new to combat robots I was searching a lot of tutorials and this is one of the more healpfoul ones (and also seeing your 150 gram flipper is what made me wanna do this,so thanks for shearing thoes videos)

Thanks for covering the way the three wires don't matter which they're plugged into, took me a while to realise the logic behind this after wondering why the wires are all the same colour. 👍😄
Great video man! You covered the basics I was looking for.

Thank you so much for the video. it gave me a better understanding of a esc!!
Thanks so much! This video was so helpful!
thanks a lot, great info
Thanks for the upload dude! This is great. I have just bought some ESCs for some of my bots and this video will be very useful, even if it does cement what I thought I knew before. I found that I could spend a lot of time scouring forums and Web pages for information but couldn't find a practical demonstration that made it "idiot proof". I think you've just made what I was looking for! Nice work man

Hello sir i am javing same bruhesd 30A burshed esc when i plug it with motor and battery 7.4vplts it starts sounding loudly... And light also starts blinking... But when i use mobile battery 3.4 aprox it works what to do ...
I have an ESC that the manufacturer sez is intended for a 130/180 brushed motor. I connected it to a 550 35T . it worked fine, ( in a short test). do you know what would typically happen if I were to continue using it this way. would it damage the the ESC or possibly damage the Motor ?
Yes thank you sooo much
I have a DIY tank tread chassis using 2 130 brushed motors that are already installed. I'm a noob at this stuff, so I need a little gentle coaching. Your video was great, but I need to go a step further. Most brushed ESCs are only designed for 1 brushed motor, but may offer a switch for braking. I suspect I could use 2 of these motors with some fancy Tx programming to run my tank tread vehicle, but I have found a brushed ESC 20-30A capacity, that is designed for 2 motors, with two motor power cables a standard servo connector for the receiver, and an extra (yellow) lead identified as "Connect to 1ch/signal". I thought this special ESC might be easier to set up for my tank tread application and I could learn how it works in the process. It also has an "independant/mixed control switch". There are apparently no instructions provided, but I have not yet ordered this unit, and won't until I understand what I need to do to use it. Could you offer either a quick, clear tip in your response, or even better, do a video on this type of ESC and tank tread or 2 motor speed boat arrangement specifically? Thanks! Jim
Hi, what about the frequency? Is preferable to choose an ESC with higher Hz?
Thanks, one quick question on the brush-less power lines with a FC. All 5 are used right? The 3 wire plugs in and the red/black power cables solder to the FC rather than going to the battery. Yes? Thanks.
Yes anouther video!

Hey there, can you tell me why 150a esc‘s have two battery plugs?
How u conected the weapon esc into the batery ?
Yes, this video WAS very helpful, explaining almost all the basics. But I still need your great knowledge of how and why to understand the pros and cons of single ESCs that can control 2 motors separately. How are these hooked up, and how do I set up my Fly Sky transmitter to use them in tank tread vehicles? Is the proper hookup and programming of a single motor ESC still possible to control tank tread vehicles? How? What are the pros and cons of a single ESC that has an extra control line to enable control of 2 motors, versus a single esc designed for only one motor, but connected for 2? I know this has turned into a complicated question, but I hope you can direct me to (hopefully one of your) videos to carefully explain the answers to my question. Respectfully, Jim Eastep
Can a small 6 volt rc car esc be used with bigger 24 volt motor
Can 2 ESC’s be plugged in to the same channel on the receiver (to drive to motors)
So, on my receiver, it has "battery/1/2/3/4/5/6". When the battery is plugged into the ESC, that leaves the one plug that supplies power and throttle to the motor. So does the plug go on the "battery" pins, or the pins marked "1"?
Which module is used to communicate to the robot
How do you connect the esc battery connectors?
Hey thanks a lot man

How about if u use four motors how many esc do u need to use four motors?
Hi sir i have some questions sir about may esc and receiver
Power matching between ESC & motor is needed to be considered.That means the power transistors at output stage of an ESC are capable to drive a bigger motor or two smaller motors.
Hi! This has nothing to do with the video but I watch the original how to build a 1 pound battlebot vid and bought everything exactly you got and I have a question. The same exact servos you got struggled to be put in the AR610 receiver. The “head” seemed to be to big. Any tips. I am new to this and I could be doing something wrong
@MechNinji
6 жыл бұрын
hello! Yes, when both the receiver and servos are new it is a snug fit. If you look as the servos plug and receivers port they both have the same shapes. So just make sure you are putting them in the right way and you should be fine! :)
thanks

Could you post a video on how to control the two esc's at the same time on your bot? Also, you mentioned that you'd made some mods to your transmitter for the directions. Could you post what those mods were and how you did them? I'm having one heck of a time trying to find a tutorial on either of these subjects.

can a 7.4V lipo battery supply a 3 dc motor w/ esc. that has total weight of 3kg(including chassis and other stuff in my battlebot) ? thanks for the reply
@MechNinji
5 жыл бұрын
Hello! what 7.4v battery are you using? Like how many MAH does it have? or whats the C count? Also what is a 3 dc motor? And The weight of your bot shouldn't really effect what kind of battery you'll need to power the motors. :)
@ivanbagsit9376

Mechanical Ninjineer 7.4v lipo rechargeable battery 2000mah, 2 built in dc motor for car kit (the yellow one for wheels) + 1 DC 12v 21000rpm 0.7A motor for the weapon. When completed it weighs around 3kg all in all. Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated
@MechNinji

so the battery has 2 built in motors? or your yellow rc car does? But regardless it looks like your 12v motor will of course need 12v not 7.4 to be able to run at full power.

ok and i have one last question, how plug the motor to the esc
can someone like a charger to the battery
One very important detail missed about batteries, the C rating. The C rating determines how much current can be provided by the battery. To get the amount of current that can provided is simple, capacity in miliamp hours multiplied by the C rating. .5x20= Ten amp continuous. Most batteries also have a burst C rating, which is the amount of current the battery can provide for a few seconds. If you fail to meet the C rating, you'll cause your bot to brown out, or worse case, you'll kill the battery.
@MechNinji

Yes, very ture! I didn't go into too great of detail on batteries for this video because it was suppose to be more ESC based. However maybe I should make it a series and do a battery video as well?
You should do a remake of the incubator build but use a cooler and show us how to use it

I actually used a cooler in the video that's already out. :)
How for the turning left and right? Like tank steering
Stupid question... but if you connect the esc to the battery, without plugging in a motor or transmitter/receiver.... can I break the esc? Sorry again... I'm a complete noob!. Great video by the way!
@MechNinji
5 жыл бұрын
Nope! As long as the ESC is rated high enough for the batt ( don't use a 4s bat on a 2s ESC) You will not damage the ESC. And no such thing as a stupid question! I'm excited you're getting into bots! :D

@@MechNinji cheers for the reply buddy. I actually wired it up properly and it works ... so I figured I didn't fry it the other day when I asked the question. I bought a foam glider and trying to mod it by adding a motor and control surfaces.
I still dont understand how you used a dc motor in your diy battlebot video and connected that directly to a radio i dont get it because that modified servo should have only two leads so which ones actually plug in where
@MechNinji
6 жыл бұрын
All of my modified servos will still have all three leads going into the plug. The only thing the mod really effects is the POT which i superglue in place.

hi can you make a alternator into brushless dc motor with your "30" Amps ESC and test the torgue thanks ( see jeremy fielding last video how he tested torgue its not dangerous :)
@MechNinji

Are you asking if i can turn a car alternator into a brushless motor? Or did i misunderstand the question? Because although it would be possible to do that, i don't know if it would be worth the time and effort it would take. because they probably already sell brushless alternators.
what happens if you don’t have one in it??
