None of y'all are boxers or God. You're not God & in sports anything can happen. I believe Spence can beat him he lost due to been inactive, not putting the catch weight at 154. Remember I said it first the rematch will be different. I would like for Spence to give God the glory like TC was doing. I am an old timer boxing fan from Omaha. I felt that Bud did not open it up until the seventh round because Spence still had some snap to his devastating left hand. Once Spence started to drop his left shoulder, Bud knew he would not get caught. One good shot from a Spence left could have changed the outcome of the fight. 40-0 and the unified welterweight champion of the world. Mission accomplished.

Anyone advocating for a rematch must not care about Spence and his health. Under no circumstances was he ever going to beat Crawford to much skill, athleticism, and ring IQ. Errol has always been a straight line fighter who basically overwhelms his opponents with aggression, that typically doesnt work against well rounded fighters

Love both fighters. Watched them since day 1.Errol is a North-South fighter. Stand in front of me let's fight. Wears you down with an accumulation of body shots. Bud is a cerebral fighter. Angles, defence, doesn't get hit clean . Catches you on counters . Severely hurts you. Gets you out in later rounds. That's all she wrote. Repeat that with Charlo, Tsu. Will likely get Canelo too. I see nobody stopping Bud anytime soon. Maybe if he moves up to 168 and is too small for the middle weights.

I don't want to see a rematch. I don't think that Spence is in a good place, the fight just happened, it's too soon, to make a decision like that. I think that his health should be considered first above him seeking some kind of quick turn around redemption. I honestly, think that it will be worse even at 154. Nothing will change with these guys styles..Crawford was the stronger guy at 147 and will most likely be even stronger at 154. Spence can not afford to be slower than he was at 147...I just don't want to see Spence get severely hurt, it feels like that would be the outcome. I saw Crawford step back, at times when he could've went for the kill earlier...I saw him have Spence lunging in throwing a wild shot and Crawford step out the way when he could've countered him and face planted him....

He may be able to do something different next fight but the original comment was about that fight. I'm a hard-core Spence fan. This is exactly what happened Derrick James has taken on too many fighters and his attention was not 100% on preparing Spence for Terrence and I don't believe it is 100% on Anthony Joshua (but we shall see on 12 August). Spence has only ONE style - aggressively moving forward and Derrick never thought to study Terrence properly, he assumed the style will work on anyone including Terrence. Derrick James has said it repeatedly he does not watch other fighters so whats his training routine based on then?

Terrence and his team studied Spence closely and you heard Terrence talking about taking away Spence Jab and training to use a certain kind of jab that will push Spence back. Lets call a spade a spade, yes Spence is the only one in the ring but there was virtually no defence in his preparation as the strategy was to 'attack attack attack' which failed badly against a good technical fighter.

I don't wanna see a rematch to this occasion; it should just expire and drift into the wind. Errol has nothing to prove after being destroyed in that fashion. Despite the passion or thought to redeem himself to Crawford in a rematch, it's still a bad idea and may be a worst experience than the this. He should humble himself and admit that Crawford is just on a higher tier than he is fundamentally and technically. Crawford's style is like cryptonite to Errol because a technical fighter always has an advantage over a pressure fighter. I don't want to see Errol get beat like that again, so he should just respect the fact that Crawford is more experience, has more power and is a overall better fighter.

@@whataboutrick Lennox Lewis wasn't destroyed in that fight. It was competitive despite the ko. Additionally, those were heavy-weights meaning one punch can pretty much end the fight at any given moment, so that's a terrible analogy and comparison. Errol simply showing heart is insufficient to earn him a victory against a masterful technician like Crawford. Why? (Well you've seen why in this fight) but to put it more accurately, Errol spence relies on "[Pressure]" to create openings, and that simply is his fighting sum if you were to view every single fight he's had. Crawford, relies on variability and capitalizing off of his opponent's mistakes, so if you're a [Pressure] fighter, you'll leave yourself exposed at points throughout the fight which is a [TERRIBLE] mistake against a fighter like Crawford who is a pinpoint accurate puncher and finisher. If a rematch occurs, Spence will lose again, and maybe in an even worse fashion than before, and I'm willing to bet on that just as I betted on the first fight because I knew Terrence would destroy him, while people who don't know shIt about boxing like yourself, betted on spence.

Errol did a great job defensively and even then it wasn't enough. Crawford's ability of change of speed and angled attacks came out of no where and I think Errol knew it was coming but couldn't do anything about it. He put on a show but not sure if it was worth getting hit so much because he put his health at risk for entertainment and not sure if that was responsible for him to do that in the ring. Derrick James didn't have a plan to deal with Crawford's excellent counter punching. Going into the fight everyone knew Bud was an excellent counter puncher, so I'm disappointed Derrick didn't have a game plan to deal with it. Despite the one-sided loss, I tip my hat to Spence. He displayed the heart of a lion having gotten up after three knock downs. He promised an old school fight and he delivered. He keep punching to the very end. He didn't run around the ring trying to avoid the punishment being dished out. He stood his ground and fought with everything he had, just like all-time great fighters do. Spence is a future International Hall of Fame inductee and will go down in history as one of the best ever welterweights. A rematch will provide Spence an opportunity to redeem himself by making it a more competitive match, win, loose or draw.

Crawford’s counter punching wasn’t the only thing that was excellent. Crawford’s jab and hook mix was also excellent. He wasn’t throwing the same punches. He was feinting and throwing punches at different paces. For Spence team, all they wanted to do is work behind the jab. They have this belief that Spence is too strong and too big that it’s impossible to take Spence’s jab away. Spence just moved forward and he’s too predictable. He needs to feint more. Footwork and speed needs improvement too but feinting is the most important.

The only question left in my opinion is would the fight be different at 154? And my answer is no. Bud looked fantastic, and not to take away from that, Spence looked off. After this fight and the shots that Spence took, I see a downward spiral for Errol. Coupled with the damage that he sustained in the car accident and the shots he's absorbed in recent fights, I think he needs to consider a tune-up fight or just stop. I think this is about big money and setting himself up for retirement, but at what cost? Loosing a tune-up would destroy his rematch and future money fights. It's a fine line to walk, I just hope for Spence 's sake that he has people around him that genuinely care for his health!

Errol suffered permanent brain damage in this fight against Bud, I would highly recommend he NOT do the rematch. Errol's speech was so slurred after the fight, way more than normal, and it wasn't because of swelling, his mouth couldn't keep up with his thoughts. He didn't look normal, he looked like he was somewhere else the whole time the interview was going on. I pray for his full recovery.

For him to say Spence can beat him in a rematch right now is reaching. I mean anything is possible, but with Spence knowing how much depth Bud has in his arsenal is putting this man's health in serious jeopardy. Crawford sparred Spence outta respect and anyone who can't clearly see that he could potentially put Errol in the hospital is delusional. Errol needs to fall all the way back from Bud and this is just being truthful. I love Errol, im from Oak Cliff and I fuck with the home team all day. But real is real and I don't wanna see my boy get humiliated like that again.

I think Spence can make it more of a fight in a rematch, but i seriously doubt he can win. To be fair, i think ring rust slowed him down a bit and then knockdown in the secodm round basically ended the fight- spence never really recovered from that. Plus Crawford is just on another level.

At the southpaw stance of Crawford , he would just counter Spence again. I think he actually has to learn how to fight southpaws. He has only fought 2 times (one during the amateurs that he lost) and against bundu that he won. Crawford is a better southpaw than him and the 2 he fought, so that’s what he needs to train for not to mention get some legs under him and learn to move off the line and move side to side
