ERRA - Shadow Autonomous [Official Music Video]

Музыка

Shadow Autonomous is taken from ERRA's upcoming self-titled record, out March 19: unfd.lnk.to/ERRA
Spit out the blood. Freeze to the bone when the lonesome mind is whispering. Decide it’s time to settle in, or begin again. Fading in and out again. Places I find healing in, an ocean’s length apart from where I stand. Glimpse of light comes shining through this waking dream. Glimpse of light comes shining through. Sleep cycle synced into phase. Rattles your coffin when intrusive thoughts are creeping in. Surrogate a home over and over again. We will go on fading in and out again. Sense of loss that you’ve been feeling. Break free. Glimpse of light comes shining through this waking dream. Glimpse of light comes shining through. Sleep cycle synced into phase. A friend, a foe, equally familiar. Kept close, unified inside the mirror. Spit out the blood. Spitting out the blood inside my mouth. The pain stings, but it brings relief that I can still feel anything at all. Spaces I used to find peace, tearing me apart. Glimpse of light comes shining through this waking dream. Complacencies that we will never seek to replace. Spitting out the blood inside my mouth. The pain stings but it brings relief that I can still feel anything at all.

The fact that this band can go from "Scorpion Hymn" to this song just goes to show the endless possibilities music has to offer if you know how to utilize it correctly. Music has always been my second language since I was raised in a English speaking only household and should've learned 2 other languages growing up. Music helped to fill the void. But hey, fine by me! Because of this, metal has been the greatest self-discovery in my life and will die a rocker. 🤘 Go, Erra!

@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 Dude new Silent Planet would be nice for this year, and I’m hoping for Counterparts to release something as well. They seem to do an album every two years so I’ve got my fingers crossed, but every song ERRA has put so far has just hit me in a different way each time. There’s a time to throw down, to mellow out, to feel angry, and to feel hopeful. I think a lot of it has to do with my own mental issues(I was diagnosed with type 2 bi polar disorder a few years back) and it’s like this album just fits with how my mind works. It’s all over the place yet coherent at the same time, and every time I listen to the songs released so far, it just feels.. idk, comforting.

@@jesseroberts5728 Yeah man, life has been really rough lately. I'm doing absolutely everything I can to make money and not sit around. I'm not entirely sure how bands can afford to do this without shows. I understand how with new releases it keeps certain bands busy and While She Sleeps, for example have their own podcast now. But there has to be other ways to make income. I go in my own head a lot when I'm home usually at night after work. Sometimes I over work, but it's what makes me sane during this pandemic and it's not getting any better with gas prices rising, among other things. Sorry, if this was quite off topic BTW, but just know you're not the only one. It's a cold world out there. Anyways, back on topic. Definitely enjoying this slightly different approach to ERRA for sure. I play guitar so the riffs are always speaking to me. That's also why Counterparts are also one of my favorites too. I know The Plot In You, Beartooth, Veil Of Maya, Miss May I, and Volumes also have albums coming out this year and can't wait for all of them! Hoping Ice Nine Kills does too.

@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 Hey, man. If you gotta get something off your chest, and that was a form of release of the thoughts on your mind then there’s no reason to apologize. We’re all a family here. We suffer together, and take joy in the things that gives us meaning together. It’s definitely been a struggle, and has disrupted a lot of people’s livelihood. Apparently these guys were planning on releasing this album last year but couldn’t because of timing with the epidemic and they held off for as long as they could. Feel like they made the right call though. Music is a powerful tool. It comes and speaks to us right when we need it to. Glad you’re still here and kicking, otherwise you might miss out on all the great music that’s coming ahead and could possible help you find peace in your soul. That’s really all I could ask for, for other people to keep pushing and find joy in the little things. It may not be much, but it’s enough if you choose to believe in it.

Jesse Cash is musical mastermind. Not to say the rest of the band doesn't do their own part. This band has earned its place as my favorite band and until I found them I couldn't tell you who my favorite was. Only it was close between 2. Listen on the daily with my ERRA playlist on Spotify doing just about anything and everything I do. Obsessed? Fuck yes. No band has ever spoken to me more. Like pulling the lyrics from my head and heart sometimes and put into more clarity.

The whole song! Especially the build up to the chorus and then the chorus kicks in is just hard hitting, perfection!! But I agree, when i listen to this the outro, the acoustic is absolutely amazing! Great ending to a brilliant track, goosebumps every singe time. I felt the same way dude, still feel the same way every time I hear it. I hate when you try to show people it and they just don't get it, annoys me. Gutted they cancelled their gig in the UK this year
