If I've learned anything this season, it's some British journalists are extremely daft! Wow! When the man says, "when the players are not available", he simply means the top players; the quality players; the stronger players. He's talking about Martinez, Varane, Shaw, Lindelof, Maguire, et al. Not to mention those who were out with injuries like Mainoo, Amad, Mount, et al. Once he has his entire squad, he knows how to play with an identity. This season, he had his best squad for barely one game. EtH deserves a better club with a BIGGER mentality and competent owners.

Ten Hag deserves better treatment by this disgrace of a media. He's had to manage Ronaldo going public, Sancho being petulant, Rashford playing up and having a terrible season, Anthony's suspension/court case, Malacia being missing all season, injuries to around 8-9 key players throughout the season (including Shaw, Mount, Martinez, Varane, Casemiro, Martial...). On top of that, 6 months of constant reports that he should be sacked immediately, "has no system," "concedes too many shots" etc. and owners that haven't shielded him from anything. And he's done it all alone. Then wins two trophies in two seasons, against the BEST and MOST DOMINANT team in the world currently. And he's done it with the utmost professionalism and respect the whole time. Yet the media still comes for him and doesn't recognise his achievements. How much more obvious is it that they're terrified he will bring United back to the top for decades to come?

I don't think that it's a stupid question event though it comes from a place of stupidity. I would like to know why only now he plays a) False 9 (he tried that with Sancho in pre-season and supposedly it was working great) b) Amrabat remembers that he's the good player c) Midfield isn't overrun etc. Just why? I think, ETH means that without the consistent set of players available, his team also loses its consistency. Jim was asked after the game if ETH would be staying or going and he refused to answer. It's unacceptable that he hasn't given the man a public yes or no. This was quite difficult to watch. Hes just won the FA Cup. It’s one of only 4 trophies you can win per season and given the competition, and teams like Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea that have won nothing, he should be given a well done. Instead, every question is a variation of the same. Terrible journalism.

As a Newcastle fan I think the media is being unfair to Ten Hag. If you have injuries you struggle for consistency. We had a lot injuries too and it makes a massive difference. It doesn't mean I want Eddie Howe sacked. Ten Hag wins trophies. The media are painfully annoying at times and should have more respect...

The media in this country can't stop having to mention united in a bad light... he got asked the question about his position and the owners and he said 'how many times do I have to mention about this', yet the rest asked the same question again and again in a different format... just a joke! Give the man some respect!! The game is about Winning and winning trophies... no one ever remembers a team in 2nd place in the history in football... simple as that!

City fan here. United just won two cups in two years while City won everything else. Considering the appalling number of injuries Ten Haag has had to cope with I'd say that's not half bad. The sporting press obviously know nothing and should try just shutting up rather than embarrassing themselves.

Is anyone surprised that mainstream media is dying out when the standard of the journalists is this disgraceful? Erik Ten Hag just survived the biggest witch-hunt conducted by the media in recent memory. Balls of steel. This man just won 100% of my respect.
