I am looking at the option of buying ER2SE/XR for a very long time.🧐 But I always wonder if in the $150 price range it's better to buy something that has more drivers or something exotic like a planar driver.🛸 I hope that you will do a special review and comparison with the S08. Hmm, I won't there.

A few years ago I bought the er4xr and didn’t understand what all the fuss was about. They were terribly disappointing. I’m interested to know what these are like.

If you don't want the best possible details without much bass these SE series of IEMs might not fit your needs. XR are just horrible, no questions asked. 😅 At this point, if I have to suggest you a high quality IEM with very good details and clarity with nice bass and fun signature, you can consider the DUNU Falcon Ultra and Hype 2.

Er series is not up to modern standards imo. I liked er3 series more than er2. Soundstage is narrow, techs are ok to solid, tuning is good, especially for the time.

Se or xr? I only have tried the se and yes, it's not that good with technicalities but this 2se is something else , flatter, better details and treble extension too.
