Philip J. Fry awakens in the 31st century after a cryogenics mishap and goes to work for Planet Express, making intergalactic deliveries with cycloptic captain Leela and robot buddy Bender. Accidentally frozen, pizza-deliverer Fry wakes up 1,000 years in the future. He is taken in by his sole descendant, an elderly and addled scientist who owns a small cargo delivery service. Among the other crew members are Capt. Leela, accountant Hermes, intern Amy, obnoxious robot Bender and lobsterlike moocher "Dr." Zoidberg.

My favorite doctor scene on this show was when Leela was asked out by a doctor. Zoidberg tells leela, “careful, doctors don’t make any money,” and she says, “actually doctors are pretty rich.” And then zoidberg freaks out because it’s implied that he doesn’t make good money even though he’s a doctor😂

Hey Dr. Wagner, did you know that Fry's voice actor, Billy West, also voices Zoidberg, Prof. Farnsworth and Zapp Brannigan in this show? That little fun fact just makes the scenes where these characters talk to each other all the more fun, since you can just imagine Billy in the recording booth switching voices and talking to himself. Fun fact: Billy West also voices Doug Funnie (from the Nickelodeon show), Stimpy (from Ren and Stimpy), the Honey Nut Cherrios Bee and the red M&M.

I discussed with my doctor about that. A person who used antibacterial soap too much every day had a subdermal mrsa outbreak that came from within their body through a few dry patches in their skin. I had to have half of my nose due to skin cancer. My surgeon harvested cartilage from behind my ear and a flap of skin from my face. @@someonecalledkyle9704 You'd think. Zoidberg knows how to be a doctor for tons of other alien races (they allude to this on several commentary tracks and, I believe, in the show itself) but he just doesn't get human physiology. I guess you can figure it like video games. You could be pro at all of them but you just can't understand fighting games no matter how hard you try. To explain what was up with the nose part, basically the plot of the episode was that Zoidberg got into a relationship with a woman who had no sense of smell, therefore could not smell how much Zoidburg stunk, and thus he would sacrifice their relationship to give her a sense of smell.
Ooh, could you do the 1970s television series, Emergency! It is based on emergency physicians and paramedics which should be right up your alley.

the nose transplant was because the woman was born with anasmia(the inabilaty to smell) and zoidberg was doing a procedure to give her the abilaty to smell.
I once had a babysitter who told me that her head came off and had to be sewn back on. Now I realised she was lying to me and I ain't even mad about it.
Squidification, may not be real, but a term “spaghettification” is used to describe what would happen to anyone that comes close enough to a black hole’s event horizon. You’d be shredded due to the tidal forces on whichever end of your body is closest to the black hole. That part will be tugged orders of magnitude more than any part further away.

How far fetched are some of the situations on that show if they are at all? The show does have a wonderful balance between regular life and supernatural elements (Scully being a doctor and a skeptic). Particularly I was thinking of season 1’s Ice , season 2’s the host are particularly gross due to parasites being a real thing and some people do get unpleasant parasites or worms 🪱. Aww, no way... A series I would love to see is the 2009 series "Mercy". It's another medical show with a good amount of different accidents. It was only one season and about 10 episodes. There's an episode with a heavy sleep walker, one with a kid who "hears God's Voice" in his head telling him to do stuff, and one of my favorites was a guy who was in a coma since like 1999 and they have to catch him up on everything like 9-11 and even Facebook.
"Both arms on the same side." Actual line from another Futurama episode: "We should make T shirts and F shirts for people with both arms on the same side."
You know, I was hoping that I’d be funny after anesthesia. But as far as I can tell, I felt burning in my elbow, the doc rubbed it and I said “Thank you, good night doc” and went to sleep. And when I woke up I looked at my x-rays for a while, then called the nurse over and gave her some coupons from my work I promised her before I went in.

Could you react to medical scenes from Friends? Some good scenes are when Rachel hurts her ankle taking down the Christmas lights, when Phoebe is giving birth to her brother’s triplets, and when Ross gets hit in the face by the hockey puck.
Did you know the Simpsons did the same thing when Barts head was attach to Lisa’s body in Treehouse of Horror XXIV

@ombranox: Nope. It's "Grinning" [ see the commentary on the Commentary Track on the first ( 1st ) released DVD of "Futurama" episodes. ]
The two headed scene reminds me of the fascinating story of Abby and Brittney Hensel, who literally have 2 heads and one body, each of them controlling that half of the body, they're now in their 30s and teaching elementary school if I'm not mistaken.
We don't have squidification, but we DO have carcinization (essentially crabification), where things keep turning into crabs for some reason.
There's a great scene in House when Dr. House is going in for surgery on his leg in a dream sequence. According to his doctors, the best course of action would be amputation, be he insisted on arterial reconstruction. In case anything happened before and he was unable to make medical decisions he wrote his directives on his legs. On one he wrote "not this leg". On his other leg he wrote "not this one either".
6:48-6:58 I love that 180 😂
