Equal breathing 4-6-8sec | Breathing Exercises

Музыка

Equal breathing involves inhaling, exhaling, and then holding the breath again, each for an equal duration. This technique promotes balance and relaxation in both the mind and body. The consistent rhythm of equal breathing helps regulate the autonomic nervous system, leading to a reduction in stress and anxiety levels. The effects of equal breathing, especially when slowed down, contribute to improved focus, enhanced emotional well-being, and a heightened state of mindfulness.

First, the most important thing is to inhale into your belly. Then - this exercise slows down your breathing and it helps you to calm down, feel more focused, in control of your body and mind. It lowers your heart rate and improves the overall wellbeing. - I am sorry to find your question just now and hope you are having a wonderful day 🤗

@@BreathingExercisesNet thank you for your valuable feedback. Another concern I have is that I have heard that you have to breathe a certain amount of breaths per minute depending on your age. If this is true then slowing down my breath may be putting me at risk for not breathing in enough oxygen. Is this a valid concern?. Thank you for your Chanel 🙏💙

@@joan14u2 Hi, I think this concern may not be entirely valid given the complexity of our biology. However, always listen to your body's signals. If you feel dizzy or uncomfortable during the exercises, it's best to stop and return to your regular breathing. I think you could find the book "Breath. The new science of a lost art" by James Nestor worth reading. And probably you would find many answers to your questions in this book. There are so many topics and facts about breathing, it's written more like a novel instead of scientific text (it’s nice and captivating) and I just LOVED the note section at the end of the book with the links to the research articles. They open a path to dwell on further in the science of the breathing if you wish.
