The bottom hose that's up against that black cover on the engine side. Does that cover get hot? Is that hose going to be okay in the long run?

I see we replaced the piping from the turbo to the intercooler, what about the piping from the intercooler to the throttle body? Does the kit come with that piping too? I see other discharge kits with what looks like more piping than the EQT KIT.

I actually forgot to mention that in the video. So it’s not necessary but I took it out because it gives much more room to work and only takes a minute to pull the battery so it’s worth the headache of fitting tools in tighter spaces than you have to haha

I already have the charge pipes with ie intercooler but I don't have the discharge pipes connected to the turbo. Do u think adding that one pipe helped alot?

Absolutely will make the car feel better as the car will feel peppier and will increase even more airflow to the turbo. For sure worth it!

when i did this with my car it was definitely a not so fun install for what it was, when I had to revert back to stock it was even worse to put the stock pipe back in. Damn california.

Really? I found it to be pretty simple but I guess compared to other installs I’ve done it doesn’t seem too bad haha and California always killing the car guys. Beautiful state but horrible laws

My current setup rn I have about $6k-$7k in mods but that doesn’t include everything else that I’ve bought and don’t before so. Imo if you have s4 money it’s hard to beat it! Easily a 10 second stock turbo car and big body beautiful sedan is hard to beat!

I have a stage 2 with the eqt tune is it normal to have a check engine light from it after the install and tune

If you do not have an emissions compliant downpipe then yes it’s normal. After the Cobb update a year ago from the green speed act tuners on the Cobb platform do not have the ability to remove a CEL due to non compliant emissions system. Only way to avoid the cel is getting lucky using a spacer or using an emissions compliant downpipe such as a gesi act or stock one

Did you have to boil the pipe to get it to slide into your intercooler?

Only have to do it with the DO88 intercooler if I’m not mistaken. The APR one has factory outlet sizes so it slides right on

Is the sound difference noticeably louder after this mod?

So I have the massive intake and inlet so I didn’t notice a big difference on sound. If you have a stock intake or a less aggressive setup you should notice a louder induction. The one main thing I did get however is a much quicker and better feeling throttle response

Will the pipe fit over the stock intercooler?

It’s def a good mod to have regardless of tune. More induction sound and peppier and better throttle response

Yeah i had to wait a bit myself unfortunately they were back ordered for a bit
