Epson Home Cinema 5050UB 4K PRO-UHD Projector
Ғылым және технология
Dave walks us through the much anticipated Epson Home Cinema 5050UB 4K PRO-UHD projector. He takes us through the updates and differences from the previous model - Epson Home Cinema 5040UB. The projected image from the 5050UB was phenomenal and everyone who saw it in action would have kept it if given the chance.

I’m glad you mentioned the main problem with streaming on large displays (100+”) namely artifacts. I even notice them on my 55” living room TV. This is why I believe Blu-Ray is here to stay. You simply can’t stream the bit rate necessary to match Blu-Ray quality.
That thing is massive.
Interesting review. I have a 5040 and that is a good projector. I did see the 5050 in action at someones home cinema about a month ago and it was amazing. Still pondering the upgrade.

How are black levels on 5040?
How to do the audio setup on this projector. Please help
If it can accurately display the second to last episode in Game of Thrones, I’m sold.

Yes,I can honestly say I had zero issue watching the episode your talking of. I watched it at my buddy's house who has this projector and it was incredible. I myself am buying it next month once my theater room is complete.
Absolutely beautiful, much better value than any of the competition. My next projector will be the Epson 6050UB. :)

@Blake NoLast - Is the release of a 6050 been confirmed and when will it be released? Also, will it be a native 4K unit?

and next screen is the xyscreen ALR Black crystal screen to match with Epson 6050UB.if you want to see the movies or play games on a bright room and light on ,then our ALR Screen will be your best choice .here is the video show you how's the Epson projector work on the ALR black crystal screen on light day . kzread.info/dash/bejne/anity61yksnWntI.html
Does the remote have to be pointed at the projector to work?
Why don't we have operating noise listed? How many decibels does it produce when it's pumping along?
The song that starts at 7:27 sounds similar to the instrumental for Filter’s “Take a Picture”.
How does 3D compare to the Epson 3100 with the same lumens rating? The 3100 is just too dim on some very dark scenes. Will this projector be a big improvement even though the lumens are the same?
how far back does it have to be to give 120 inch screen
Would this be a good upgrade from the 5030UB?
Would this be an upgrade from my optoma 51a 4K projector?
Can you tell me more of send me somewhere to get a better idea of how this will perform in rooms with moderate- high levels of natural light? I’m considering this for a finished basement with a large patio door that is opposite of the screen roughly 35 feet away. I also am curious how viewable sports would be at night with basement can lights on at a normal livable brightness. I mainly just want to ensure the picture is “reasonable” or slightly better than reasonable in both settings. I’m looking at a 120” wide screen made by Stewart Filmscreen - CIMA division. Thoughts?
When is the UBe wireless version due? Thanks
Is this worth the upgrade from the Epson 5040UB?
WOW! What an amazing picture. You have to wonder if it’s even worth spending extra thousands of dollars for a Sony or JVC native projector after seeing this.

Another channel did a Espon 4k shift vs a BenQ true 4k projector. There was pixelation with the Epson. So i think there is a reason for Sony nd JVC being at a higher price.
How is the judder?
Any idea how big screen size u can get projector being 12 - 10 feet away? This is the answer that will decide if I get the projector or not. Thank you.

Did Epson address the infamous power issue with the 5040's, causing refurbished warranty replacements of new units?

Is this proyector 3d capable?
Nice review , but if you already have a perfectly working 5040ub not worth spending 3k on a 5050.

Very true. I own a 5040UBE, but for some reason I am looking at the 5050UBE. Perhaps for another room.

I heard the 5040 has a huge power supply issue.
the only reason to have a projector is image and screen size and 3D
What is the difference between this and the 5060

The difference is that the 5050 exists whereas the 5060 does not (yet).
I will trade you my 5040 for it, how’s that sound?
