Actually I think a big part of her character is that she’s bored of being the big fish in the small pond, which is why she’s part of bliss ocean, handicaps herself in fights, and wants the unfair bs broken overpowered epithets gone. Even her own

For the curious, Hangfire is an event in which the firing of a gun is delayed by an unknown amount of time due to issues with the starter, the powder, or so on. Hangfire is usually dangerous because if it goes on for too long the user may believe the gun jammed or misfired instead and when they go to clear the jam the bullet goes off aimed in a different direction from intended In Zora’s case she may be intentionally using Hangfire to produce strange delays in the firing of her gun, either to trip up her opponents or to “stock” trigger pulls and bullets without needing to reload or pull the trigger again.

Might actually explain her fear of soap. Some soaps have a really strong smell, but if her sense of smell is that strong, even the ones that don't have a strong smell might irritate her nose, hence why she had such a reaction in That Beautiful Sound

I like to think the "I'm number one" fake-out was because Zora could have ended it at any time she wanted to, but wanted to keep the chase going just a little while longer. Just like what happened with Ramsey and Percy, she's prolonging the hunt, showing off her powers, explaining her motives and playing her games with her target.

Oh god don’t fucking tell me she can fucking recreate the MADE IN HEAVEN event. Almost any level of time based powers have high potential to be OP jack of all trades on their own (only being limited by the user’s intelligence and imagination if the power is on the weaker side) but adding Chronokinesis makes them a horrific nightmare unstoppable entity (and I’m not even sure if I WANT to try to comprehend what the epithets of the two characters that are supposedly stronger then her, like come on it’s time control what unholy powers can overpower her, unless it’s literally just a epithet that doesn’t allow epithet use or something but even then it would be feared just like how all for one is because he has a similar power)

She stops fighting even after she cheated and could have continued once it was sundown She mentions that you won't live to see sundown, maybe referring to how if she will use all her power before sundown ends so she could catch you There's a reason it's called a SUNdial, Because it needs the SUN for a SUNdial to work

I don't think that's true, though? Percy straight up says she has power over the cycle of the sun-and we can see her using her epithet to teleport near the end of episode seven. I can see that being a restriction she had when she was at Tier One, the way Mera has one, but there's no way that's how it works in present day.

In my headcanon, Zora's target is a song producer that's buying time by offering her several opportunities to record any and all songs she has stuck in her head... And Zora, looking to showboat, accepts the offer before the ultimate demise of the song producer.

Challenging your target to a duel is THE COOLEST way of saying "Surrender, or else". She's risking her life to try intimidate them into surrendering, which is way nicer than just killing them, but it still makes her look badass.

So, I have a theory that the metaphors she uses for each one has to do with their epithets. The first one she used a lot of predator/prey analogies, and at one point called him a "shaking deer", I think his epithet is something related to deer or similar. The second one is a gang, but she uses a lot of explosive metaphors, so maybe the leader has something to do with gunpowder or other kinds of explosives? The third one is pretty obvious, a lot of things related to birds, so probably some kind of bird.

I love that the countdown numbers don't have any pattern, and just kinda come out of nowhere through the song. Adds a fun bit of tension, like she could pull the trigger at any moment if you're not careful.

I love the unconfirmed implication that she can only use her power during the day.

"Might be a canary very soon I fear, 'cause her lifespan aint looking long." So great. So cool.

Such a good villain song. I love the lyrics likening her targets to prey like a "Shakin' deer," or the last verse which goes absolutely ham on the bird metaphors. Really cuts an intimidating image for Zora, this whole song is expertly crafted, I adore it.

I don't know what I was expecting from a Zora villain song but this is faaaaarrrr better than anything I could have anticipated!!!! The lyricism and wordplay, the vocals (incredible job, Dawn!), the storytelling, and the artwork and lyric animations to accompany it- MMMMM ITS SO GOOD!!!! I could not stop smiling listening to this! Everyone who worked on this (and everything Epithet Erased related - I'm so hyped for all that's coming up!!!) should be so proud! I'm glad you're all taking your time with everything you put out there because this level of quality is truly incredible! Keep it up! (and take care of yourselves!) :)

In my mind she fires that shot in the third chorus at the same time as in the other choruses, on "[take your best] shot", but causes a hangfire with her epithet, leaving the bullet hanging in mid-air like in the show while already turning and walking away. Then she finishes her countdown and releases the bullet.

When I noticed the countdown the anticipation for what 1 would mean was so intriguing and 1(won) being the final lyric is so clever. The word play in this series’s music is so cool

I love that when jail's mentioned in the first bounty's verse, you can hear the songbirds song that gets more prominence in her verse

I desperately need this and Say No (and the That Beautiful Sound cover if possible) on bandcamp or something. Apple Music ain't it for buying these tracks and I'm going to suffer not being able to throw my money at them until something changes. I'll pay $5 a song if I must, they're that good to me. My distribution gripes aside, really love this song. The lyrics are way too good. They had me going "ooo, that's nice" like five different times. Excited for the rest of the stretch goal music to be released as it's done.

I loved this song! Zora is my favorite character and this song just captures everything I love about her character.

I might just be overthinking things, but I wonder if eyes have some grander significance to Zora. I feel like there is a lot of eye imagery with her two songs that have been released. She has those triangular markings around her eyes, each of her marks only have one visible eye in this art, and one of her eyes is partially hidden, and in the most recent song she apparently looks up to ~someone~ (the identity of whom I tooooootally have noooooo idea about) that has interesting eyes. Weird connection I wanted to point out, unlike old Kaleidoscope eyes I can't say I have a super concrete theory, but it is something I am taking note of moving forward :)

Unknown but on twitter it's said they have lyrics written just haven't got instrumental yet as the producer (Plaster) is busy with the audiobook soundtrack

So first one is probably Ramsey who decided to return to prison instead of fight if the eye is anything to go by. The gang I don't know but they look like the original design for bliss ocean mooks. Might just be a reuse though. The final one is some kind of jailbird who is making the most of her situation in prison. Aside from the bird imagery she also shares some time imagery with zora. we'll probably get more on her during the prison arc but my best guess is one of Trixie's sisters.

Really loved the Show have seen the first season like a week ago (i dont know how i never seen it before i fucking loved it) Now im spreading it like the Plague :D Just so i ve said it...my favorite character...is...BARRIER!!

this song is so cool, but i have to say my favourite part has got to be the very first line of the chorus. simply cause the way Dawn sings the note for "Time" is just SO good, it gives me shivers. i also wanna give a mention to how each number in the countdown is accompanied by a woodblock, which i only noticed when i listed to the song without the video. verrry nice detail there that really helps them stick out

"Great at cowboy" isn't bad at all but this is my second favorite Zora song, right after "Sad children, shot children I hate a lot of children".

Everything about this song is amazing, from the voices and lyrics, to the lyrics, to the detail of the hidden countdown!

I like how it’s called “Countdown” because of her epithet being sundial

Beautiful. This was a pretty creative series. The characters were lovable and unique as well. Music also was amazing well done.

Honestly wasn't a big fan of Zora, but hearing this theme made me fall in love with her character!

This is really cool, with a neat amount of boasting that Zora can back up

I shall always remember my favorite Zora quote: Tree.
