i actually came across this today and started investigating because i saw videos where they discredit saying something about Judas being crucified but that is the Gospel of Barnabas and has nothing to do with this epistle

I guess a way to look at it is if he's looking at the Scriptures & teaching it's green, & if he's applying this knowledge or expounding upon it, it's yellow. Gray,of course is with reference to wickedness & the wicked. It's more or less to help you navigate & see the various players. :) This way you can better see the reasons for his writing.

What i noticed from the patriarchs to prophets is how they complicated everything from the simplicity of salvation and the gospel to conversing back with leaders concerning speech and writing. Basics to live righteously, avoid corruption, set apart, loving the one true God who came in a body to redeem us from Satan's power. Nowadays that is it, being wise because everything in this world is corrupting goodness and righteousness.

@@loddyism He is not a prophet. Prophecies had ceased about 490 years before Christ. Christ was their fulfilment. Know the Scriptures and you would not say things like that.

Man of all the books in the apocrypha that could of made it in but didn’t, this is the only one I think is a genuine travesty to have not made the New Testament. The other ones like Enoch and Polycarp and Ignatius are all great but this is the one I can 100% tell is supposed to be in the New Testament. This dude was packing a mighty revelation from The Spirit. No wonder he was side by side with Paul. Definitely seems like his spiritual and theological equal.

Jesus died, to distinguish the difference between good and evil. Good being filled with light. Evil being filled with darkness.

I have no doubt that this epistle is inspired. The most important aspect of the epistle has to do with the number of Christ. For the number given for Christ and the formula Barnabas describes is very important. The reason we are given the number and the formula is so that we can apply the same formula to the number of the beast (666). This means the number 600 is looked at separately from the number 66, just as the number 300 is separate from the number 18, which gives us the first two letters of the name of the Messiah. And just as the number 300 denotes the way salvation will be had (the cross) the number 600 denotes the method by which the dragon will deceive the world. Given this knowledge, I suggest viewers do some research and see what the number 600 reveals about itself in the Greek alphabet using the same method Barnabas used. For it is the letter X. Now I invite viewers to research the significance of the letter X and how it symbolizes the method the dragon will use to deceive the world. Then consider the number 66 as a number separate from the number 600.

Actually Barnabas, I'm surprised to see was not using the Greek assigning of numbers to the letters. He was using the Hebrew. For instance he said 18 was the letter 'i' and the letter 'h'. Now in Hebrew there is a letter 'h' called 'hey' which is also the value of 5, and this is the letter given to both Sari and Abram, while dropping the 'i' or in Hebrew it is a 'y' called a 'yod' and it has the value of 10. So it clearly is not that letter 'h' or 'hey', but Hebrew has another letter that we use an 'h' and it is the 'chet', which is often written as an 'h' but also written as a 'ch' and it's really a guttural sound from the back of the throat or the back top of the mouth. Many old testament words we know of with an 'h' are really the 'chet', like for instance the 'h' in Noah, is really noach, and the 'H' in Hezekiah is really 'Chezekiah'. This 'chet' (or 'h') is the value of '8'. So in Hebrew the 'y' or 'i' is the value 10 and the 'h' or 'ch' is the value 8 for the value 18. As for the number of the beast, it can be found in words of the serpent to Eve in the book of Genesis, only again, not in English, only in Hebrew. The serpent tells Eve that she will be 'like God' or 'as God' and that word is k'elohim, and it's value (as like Greek, all Hebrew letters have a numeric value) is 666. (caph=20, aleph=1, lamed=30, vav=6, hey=5, yod=10, mem sofit=600) In Paul's writings he also refers to the times coming stating that one will enter into the temple and sit in the seat 'as God'. Paul, a Jewish scholar knew what he was saying here, because that 'as God' is the value 666, the number of the beast, and he writes this long before John's Revelation of Jesus Christ. I hope this blesses You. On another note, Barnabas is Hebrew Aramaic meaning Bar=Son and nabas=prophet. A Navi (Hebrew spelling for prophet) is first and foremost a preacher and it's usually when their words are not heeded that God gives them the Word of what is to come and what to do. I say this because in the NT scriptures, it says Barnabas means 'son of encouragment', which of course Barnabas is because he is preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and like these writings illustrate, he is encouraging others to walk in the commandments and ways of God, so they may remain on God's Salvation path for their souls, bringing Glory to God and great Joy to our Lord, Yeshua/Jesus Christ. Why? This book is more of a letter of encouragment and a commentary on the Bible . It's not even Claiming to be inspired. Yet it is filled with phenoiminal facts and truth in a manner that is extraordinarilty caring and lovingly Kick ASS format. this is my second favorite next to 1st enoch. Fantastic Find Mr. Farrell. Apreciate your Hard work and dedication to get these materials out for those who are the remnant that enoch talks about "receiving books with great joy: Very cool!!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus came first to separate Israel (who he did love) but they hated him. Jesus then chose to 12 apostles. Later Wisdom comes to teach the apostles right from wrong. Wisdom being the advocate and comforter.

If you look up Colossians 4:10 it mentions this Epistle , commandments from Barnabus. Imo.

Take note where it also says that the most high doesn't want to shipwrecked to to their laws meaning he knew that they were going to put us under maritime law

Chapter 19 are directions, of to be filled to become the temple of God.

It's clear why this letter wasn't included in the New Testament. It directly contradicts the rest of Scripture on multiple points.

I was happy with it up to the 10th chapter when it compares dietry law with behaviour. It's not correct. The dietry law is literal.

carnal law is from sinai, hagar, that is slavery but truth and freedom is from Sion, the heavenly kingdom. as also seen in contrast in heb 12, why would you want to be under the earthly mountain knowing that this earthly kingdom is of satan?

@@dawnellafreeman4860 Another great ancient book.......Book of Jasher. Says Job was an advisor to Pharoah, details of Genesis. Mentioned in Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18. You can download it for free. I like a paper copy. It was discovered in the 1840's and translated from Hebrew.

18:1 But let us pass on to another lesson and teaching. 18:2 There are two ways of teaching and of power, the one of light and the other of darkness; 18:3 and there is a great difference between the two ways. 18:4 For on the one are stationed the light-giving angels of God, on the other the angels of Satan. 18:5 And the one is Lord from all eternity and unto all eternity, whereas the other is Lord of the season of iniquity that now is. Why does your book have 21 chapters and some Barnabas books I find have a lot more chapters??? 🤔🤔🤔

Saying we should celebrate the 8th day. Sunday? That confuses me as I believe we must celebrate the Saturday sabbath. Any help out there? :)

There are only 7 days for now in a week. I think he is speaking of a future 8th day.

Pretty sure this was written by Paul but ascribed to Barnabas. Barnabas was humble, and this contains the self adulation that Paul is infamous for.

I'm confused, in my bible it doesn't say that Moses received the covenant on the mountain,

I know this is 6 year old, but here it is in the Bible - Exodus 31 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him UPON MOUNT SINAI, TWO TABLES OF THE TESTIMONY, TABLES OF STONE, WRITTEN WITH THE FINGER OF GOD. Exodus 32: 7 And the Lord said unto Moses, Go, GET THEE DOWN; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: 15 And Moses turned, and WENT DOWN FROM THE MOUNT, AND THE TWO TABLES OF THE TESTIMONY WERE IN HIS HANDS; THE TABLES WERE WRITTEN ON BOTH THEIR SIDES; on the one side and on the other were they written. 16 And THE TABLES WERE THE WORK OF GOD, AND THE WRITING WAS THE WRITING OF GOD, graven upon the tables.
