THI Education Series Innovative Technologies & Techniques (Episode 9)
In this episode, Zvonimir Krajcer, MD and Briana Costello, MD discuss Incidence, Causes, and Treatment of Pelvic Congestion Syndromes.
The Texas Heart Institute (THI) is recognized internationally for research programs in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, regenerative medicine, and endovascular interventions. Our physicians, surgeons, and scientists conduct research ranging from gene therapy, regenerative medicine, and minimally invasive surgical procedures to ventricular assist devices and artificial hearts. THI provides a collection of online activities to further the education of physicians and other medical professionals beyond the walls of the institution on the most relevant topics in cardiovascular health and patient care. The Institute’s educational activities include postdoctoral and allied training programs, seminars, symposia, grand rounds, scientific publications, and public education outreach. (Texasheart.org)

My ultra sound technician said during my internal ultrasound that I had some pelvic congestion which I jave most of the symptoms and it is debilitating at times yet no Drs will/can help me. I have considered contacting my local cardiovascular Institute but I am so afraid of being let down again. It has changed my life and I am just told I jave anxiety. I have had 3 full term pregnancies.

Is their anyone in Melbourne Australia that can help? I am now 45kg and 175cm tall in excruciating pain and cannot sit or stand for long. Feels like other compressioms as well SMA, MALS and Nutcracker and CTAs never done correctly as laying down is when at less symptoms. Struggling to eat now as been left which is of concern as cannot afford to lose any weight and venous insufficiency so bad but instead diagnosed me with postural orthastatic tachycardia. No one in melbourne Australia seems to have any knowledge on these issues

I had an abdominal hysterectomy 2 years ago but kept my ovaries. My surgeon noted pelvic congestion syndrome at the time of surgery and when I asked about follow up, he told me that taking my uterus out would cure the problem. I am STILL having issues with pain, pressure, bladder incontinence, painful intercourse, and IBS, my most recent ECG was abnormal and showed anterior infarc. The gynecological surgeon is blowing me off and telling me it's in my head, but I feel like there's an issue thats not being addressed. I am in Carlsbad New Mexico and we have little resources out here. Id love a clear answer on whether or not I'm still having issues. I was also diagnosed with pash of the breast post biopsy and am waiting on a surgical consult for that issue.
