This was a very emotional documentary. The dad seems to think he's failed his son in some ways. He hasn't though, he's a good dad, and Siho is proof of it, a happy loved, kind, intelligent child. ❤

While the father, Jaeok, is raising his son, he is also able to bring out his inner child. Being a good parent is not at all easy, but his diligent mindset towards living a disciplined life will certainly help Siho grow up knowing he is loved and cared for.

Jaeok's outlook on life is nothing short of inspirational. The way he treats everyone around him, shows the measure of this man.Siho is luckier than most kids who have both parents and don't even receive half the love, respect, patience and understanding his father gives him.Wishing this for all kiddos around the world:To have a Jaeok as a father👌💯

My love to both Jaeok's aunt and uncle - for taking both brothers in, raising and loving them as best as they could in spite of life's difficulties. And the aunt and uncle did all that with honesty and selflessness - that is why Jaeok appreciates them till today. It's good to know that good people still exist in this warped world! May Jaeok one day meet a woman who could be both a loving wife and mother. The father and child deserve that much.

Jaeok is such a wholesome and warm hearted man. Siho is so happy to call him his dad because Jaeok does really everything to make him happy without spoiling him too much. Siho learns how life is working and that you have to work hard. But he learns too that it´s totally fine to feel your emotions, just be a kid and explore the world. And Jaeok learns with him together to be a better version of himself without losing himself ♥ They both deserve their own KZread channel so we can be with them and learn with them together 💕

I find this Vlog very heartwarming! I was raised by a single mother along with 10 other siblings due to the early death of our father. Although our circumstances are different, I firmly believe that Jaeok is parenting Siho by example! You can definitely see the bond between father and son and I do hope Siho does not experience the sometimes condescending and judgmental attitude of South Korean society pertaining to divorced single family’s! Stay true to your direction and conviction! HWAIGHTING!

He has found advice from books and he allways tries his best as a single dad, tries very hard to make living himself and the son. I also love the way he`s taking care of his son, listening to him, comforting him, playing with him... this dad loves his son wholeheartedly.

I think his father is doing an outstanding job as a father and role model and many could learn from him. In my eyes he’s not failed in anyway, people fall in and at times fall out of love, while we don’t know the background to it all as a father he’s ensuring his son sees his mother and reminding him that she loves him as much as he does. I believe his son will grow up to be a fine young man snd I wish them both happiness and success if the new shop goes ahead

thank you for sharing this documentary on how Jaeok struggled being a single dad with his 10 yr old son Siho... being orphaned and brought up by aunt and uncle, Jaeok certainly carried the trauma of being orphaned and he was determined to provide his best for his son - first being a loving dad, then mentor and finally an adult friend which Siho would enjoy hanging out with...this balancing act was a constant struggle for Jaeok and finally he thought he succeeded when his son would love to follow his footstep of being a chef and also posting encouraging quotes as a reminder to strive for the best on a daily basis...looks like his second branch would be given to a deserving diligent worker who had been with him for one year...that is appreciation and soon maybe he will begin a franchise network... best of all he continues to bring Siho to visit granny and make memories while both grandparents are still alive to enjoy the grandson...Great story telling with editing that is spellbinding...thank you K DOC

Really great. I work in a supermarket in the UK, in a very affluent area. I don't have children but I notice a lot of parenting. Regardless of whether the parents have money, what all children want most is attention. Often with money comes delegation. Childcare is one thing. Parenting is another. This man has found wonderful ways to bond with his son. It was a joy to watch.

You are a very good dad to your son. Parenting is not easy even for two parents. I am a single mother through divorce. Give yourself praise for a good father. ❤ USA fan

This is so inspiring I hope this isn't the end of the show. I know reality shows can take a toll on the people but it's a learning experience on how to get it right. I'd love to see a lot more of these about real people's lives rather than shows like the Kardashians. I can't relate to their lifestyle. But I can to Jaeok's philosophy of life. If this is the end the whole family will be sorely missed. Either way keep up the good job and you'll be rewarded in the end. Best of luck to everyone.
