If men can do all alone....why they can't help their wives in doing household chores, and rearing their children by sharing so that women don't have to do all alone being married ....coz marriage is about sharing and caring.... And when women are forced for divorce ,coz they can't handle the pressure, they take away the child through custody and do it alone..... what's that????

I am a daughter raised by a single father. Although I have contact with my mom too but we haven’t physically met for 12 years. I am 19 years old now. When I was Siho’s age I was as that I didn’t have a mom like other kids. I didn’t eat my mother’s tiffin lunches nor my hair was braided by her. My loneliness grew when on parents teachers day, everybody’s mum would be present but mine didn’t appear for so many years. My whole teenage years were gone without her presence. I was jealous of my friends who went to restaurants and on picnics with their family. I asked to myself ”why me”. “ what did i do to be deprived of my both parents love?” And many questions arised. But as I slowly turned 16 then 17 then 18 then 19 i begin to understand that some circumstances in life cannot go your way no matter how hard you try. Some things are out of your control. I began to realize that while my mom was not with me my dad did his absolute best to give me an education and support me in my future endeavors. Now that I am a little older I think of how hard must’ve it been to care and love for two people . As a father and a mother. To go far and beyond to not let their absence make a dark space in your child’s heart. Now as I write this I feel so lucky to have a father like him. Although I missed out on 12 years without my mother, I wouldn’t have it any other way if I could turn the fate. The young woman I am now is strong and brave just like her father who persisted those years without losing hope. I learned the hardships of life and became emotionally matured thanks to my life experience of growing as a single fathers daughter. I am studying to become a surgeon and when I become a surgeon in future. I am gonna look after my dad just like he cared for me all those years ago. To make him feel proud and happy because his dream of seeing me become “someone of my own” rather than just his daughter will be fulfilled. To Siho, in future when you walk on a path, you’ll realize how brave you’ll be because you gained that strength through the hardships your dad has faced to raise you. So Love him and Spend as much time in joy as you can. To even have a person by your side who devoted their life for you and your happiness is a gift. I am a lucky girl to have received mine. ❤ 29:26 this moment reminded of me and my dad. We were exactly like that. We used to watch TV together and I used snuggle and sleep in his arms. How fast the time flies. Today is his birthday and he turned 53. This video gave me a reminder to achieve my goals and pave a way for a better future for both of us. He did his best and is still doing so but now its my turn. To give him a life he describes each time when we take an evening walk. I intend to write a biography book of him and gift him a copy on his 60th birthday. I’m in the beginning phase of writing the manuscript and for now The title I have chosen is “ The sun and his sun flower” or “the sunflower and the sun” his name means sun and i am his precious flower. This is my mission!

Your comment is so insightful. Thank you for sharing. My wife/children's mother passed away during the pandemic when they were only 2 and 5 years old. Since then I've been worrying every night for the past two years about how they will emotionally handle her absence as they grow up. Praying that I can find a way to fill that void of maternal love and presence somehow. As he also said in the video, I think most single father's feel responsible, guilty and sympathetic for their children growing up without their mother because no matter how much we try, we will never be able to fill her shoes.

@@OppoMobile-zc9st that is and will be true but when we children raised by a single parent grow up, we find the connection with you parents to be so strong that we will not miss the moments that were never there but the ones we created together. We will understand that if we wait for things that will never happen, we will be disappointed and stuck at one place but if we feel the love through you it will be more than enough for us to move forward in life happily. I pray to God that your beloved kids will grow strong and one day realize how hard their father tried and THAT realization is something I cannot compare to any other life experience. Only us kids will know then how powerful your love was and that is enough to move mountains. I know you will be a happy father with beautiful, happy and loving kids.

My heart broke when I heard ‘The dad lost his parents at such a young age.' Thankfully, his aunt and uncle took him under their care. All of them are wonderful people. This man is a loving, hardworking dad, waking up at 4:30. I am impressed by his routine to stay in shape. Being single with no kids, I sometimes feel lazy. It's better to have one loving parent than two who don't get along well or horrible parents who don't care for their child. They both have joyful and calm personalities. The son is a ray of sunshine, adorable, and cheerful. As for the mother, I wonder why they got divorced.

Sure, it can be hard financially or physically but the guilt and the worry for your babies is what’s most hard. It takes everything you have to be so dedicated, selfless and energetic….but there’s nothing better than happy kids. ❤

As someone who's from Korea, it always really upsets and angers me whenever I hear of relatives mistreating or doing the whole giving-dirty-looks thing with family members who don't fit into the perfect 'standard'. I wish people would just stop giving a $#!+ about the opinions of others and what they think about their families and do the right thing by them. The Dad's aunt getting that treatment for raising her orphaned nephews was appalling, but I have tremendous respect for her and her husband for being strong enough to raise them.

@@Vee0777 Unfortunately, yes. Most of the children from Korea who are adopted to other countries (mostly to the West) are born from single mothers. Many have even lost jobs for being a single mother. The only 'acceptable' reason for a woman to be a single mother is, if she's a widow. There aren't that many single fathers in Korea, but they don't get treated well either and many get pressured into giving their child/ren up for adoption. This definitely touched my heart. My father was a single dad of two, after our mother was murdered, when I was 13 and my brother was 7. That was 32 yrs ago this year. My mother was Korean and her loss is still felt to this day. Single parents are definitely in a category of their own. It's hard. I was there once myself and it's not easy and even more so in cultures where the mother is usually the one that is seen as the one who raises the children, while the father works. To see the love and bond they have for one another fills my heart with much joy and happiness.

I was a single parent for many years. Even though I am a woman I found that lots of LOVE no matter who is the parent is - is what matters most to a child. Both of my boys said they wished their father had participated more in their lives, but they never missed him because I filled all their time with enough love for both parents that they never felt like they were lacking. Many children go home to houses with two parents who don't even have as much love as you have in your house so that says a lot. Your Son looks well cared for, well adjusted, and so happy. I think you both are doing a great job of loving each other well!!! I am cheering you both on!!!

This reminds me of my own dad. My mother died when I was really young, so my dad was really my only close family. I didn't fully appreciate what he did for me until later in life. He's made so many sacrifices for me and has worked so hard, especially these past few years now that I've headed off to college. Sadly, I don't see him as often as I'd like since I'm out of state for college. I think I'm gonna go call my dad now :)

I hope stories like these about great males in this world can be shared on other platforms not only KZread. Big up for all males who are mostly shown as people who are violent. Thanks to KZread I now have more appreciation for men who are single and doing their best regardless of the situation they are placed in. As a woman I should say I really admire the dad in this clip and oh ya happy new year and I pray that you are blessed

This duo father and son are super happy with each other and I'm happy for them. It's not easy being a single parent. By the way, the seafood meal looks delicious. I like seafood and if I live there, I would order a lot of times from his store. He's strong and doesn't give up easily. His aunt and uncle are also amazing. What a great family support he has in his life through thick and thin👍

Sir, no matter what the circumstances are, you supported and loved your son with all you have and tried to make the best of everything. The dedication you showed tells a lot. Sleeping in a confined space or preparing food etc. These will all be warm memories for him. All will be precious moments to remember. You are a great father and I respect you so much for your hard work... The most important thing I saw in this video is the strong bond you have with your son. Because of this, he will be a strong, poised, and emotionally achieved man. Also he will be equiped with all the skills to mantain his life as an adult without depending on anyone.. This is a treasure....
