Congratulations on this one! I'm glad you kept it secret. I remember chatting with Paul in '78. I asked him how he came up with the title "Move On" for one of the songs on his solo record. He said it was something they said after Ace recorded a good solo in the studio. Paul said, "Some people like a little red wine and some people like a little OJ in their pasta sauce, but we never wanted Ace to feel important, so after he'd record a solo, we'd say 'Okay. That's done. Let's move on.' We didn't want anything going to his head.' It's important to keep people guessing."

Congrats guys. Glad you got to talk to Ace but on the other hand feel like the interview didn’t ask any tough or hard questions at all. Which I understand would be hard to do for an idol of yours.

But I cant help but think..... is Steve the next Gordon Gerbert? LOL!!! His whole head is brown..... not just his nose, and I really want to pull his Elvis wig off, besides that I am glad he helped Ace with the album, I will be buying it.

Congrats on landing Ace, so happy for you guys. You've always done such a great job interviewing people but this was not near as great as it could've been imo. I wish you could've spent more time asking questions about his songs like you did with the ones on Dynasty. Instead you gave him a bunch of the same "soft ball" shit that all the other interviewers have been doing. You almost come across as leading him to talk shit on Paul but let him know you think Gene and Peter's ok, so of course he follows your direction. No questions about Laras dominating his social media or questions about his live performance problems. And as far as Steve and his two weeks on the road with Def and Paul...give me a break....I'm sure Paul is being pulled 1000 directions in every town they play in. Probably not a problem he has ever dealt with on that level. And we all know that the revenge tour was not the greatest of times for any of them and it was only 30 years ago. And Ace saying he measaged Paul saying "I got your back brother" is ridiculous considering his Trunk stunt. Yeah he's loyal, just like he was to the band. He doesn't even sound sober now but yet no one says or questions it. As I've commented her before, I do love your guys show, just felt you could've done a lot better. I get the whole "fanboy" thing but this was a little much. I'll take your interviews like with Bruce anyday of the week. Now there is someone with some class and actually know of what he speaks.

Okay. So, let me say that I do enjoy listening to the podcast (particularly when I'm high for some reason?) and I do ADORE Ace. I also recognize what a "get" an interview w/Ace is for you guys. All that being said, it can be a little frustrating as a listener when we know how insanely tough you guys are on Ace normally. Don't get me wrong! I'M tough on Ace as well. For instance, you guys haven't held back calling Ace out for the crappy music he puts out, all the while demeaning Paul and Kiss. These last three singles from this new record are crappy tunes. You guys know that, I know that, and many other honest and discriminating Kiss fans know it as well. Nonetheless, during the interview, you guys acted like you were on board with Steve and Ace's ridiculous sentiment, that this record, while never being able to reach the heights of the 78 solo album, is a decent attempt at recapturing the magic of the solo record.... I mean, first off, why does anyone NEED to emulate the 78 record??? Why didn't you guys call them out on such a stupid supposition?? Ace will NEVER recapture a piece of work he produced and any moment in time and why perpetuate that silly sentiment. Secondly, again, the argument that the three flagship tunes released for this new record ARE IN ANY WAY close to the quality of songwriting on that 78 album is completely and totally insane. Look, again, I totally get why you both had to toe the line with Ace and Steve, but, as a listener, it was tough. That's all. I'm not bitching. I get it why you held your tongues. Just venting. Second observation?... Ace is NOT fucking "sober." lol. In Ace's world, if his pills are prescription and no longer illegal, he is "sober." I've heard Ace sober and I've heard Ace high, and Ace is NOT sober. This isn't a "perma-fried" situation. The guy is fucking high. Why is everyone pretending? Alright, regarding one of your comments, observing that Paul was the only one of the group who seems to have changed the most over time. First, sort of like my comment above about Ace's solo record, who cares? Why is that observation is any way pertinent? I mean, some people remain fairly stagnant in the personal journey and some go through a more drastic personal evolution. I guess what I'm asking is why is that even a pertinent observation? That's a normal part of the human experience for many, to change over time. So, why is pointing out a common human experience and attributing that to Paul somehow pertinent?? It makes zero sense. Quite to the contrary, I think Paul's evolution betrays a man on a journey find his personal truth, as opposed to Ace who just keeps moving through cycles of drug dependency and lying about it. You tell me who sounds more healthy? lol Continuing on the the subject of Paul, I think you also need to add in to the mix that we are ignoring the obvious; that Paul is a gay or bi-sexual man who has spent his life creating a certain bravado and character to cover up his true nature. So! It's not that Paul has simply evolved into some new person he wasn't before. It's that Paul has veeeeerrry slowly started the process of revealing to everyone WHO HE REALLY IS; a gay/bi-sexual man. It's no accident he has had close ties throughout his life with gay men and their influence on him has been mammoth.... because he's a gay/bi-sexual man lol. Duh. So, ya, Paul hasn't changed. He's simply revealing more and more of himself to the world....... not that there's anything wrong with that! ;)

All Steve brown is, is another Ace yes man. 10000 volts is okay but walking on the moon is just pure shit. This album will be as mediocre as it gets kinda like everything after frehleys comets 1st album. It's just not good much less great.
