For one reason or the other I just can't stop picturing Craig Jones sitting on the other side of the table in his Only Fans costume.
As a new jujutsu instructor in the UK this video is great. Sums everything up exceptionally. We have a Japanese lineage rather than via Brazil, but very similar styles. It's fascinating really. My Sensei, Ross Iannoccaro has been teaching the same style for over 40 years. You'd get on really well! Nice to have somebody else put into words what we have to explain to people asking us if we're "BJJ" on a weekly basis 😄👍
Great video👍🏾🤠👍🏾 you guys nail it again. The most important battle in our lives which is against the enemy within. I couldn’t agree with you more, thank for sharing this knowledge.
Coming from an MMA background and now completely focused on teaching self defense, I find your podcast to be one of the most insightful and enjoyable things to listen to. I love the topic of the differences between street and sport, and no one has a more coherent and yet humble way of discussing this often controversial topic! Thank you, you have a true fan! In reference to the sentiment: “Jiu Jitsu starts where the other arts end,” holds true in regard to the way that many understand, and/or perpetuate their representation of the system of karate. Most people who claim to “do” karate, simply “do” punch, block, kick karate. BUT: Truth be told, Karate’s true curriculum is broken down into five parts. Those parts are as follows: BEGINNER •Punching, Thrusting, Striking, Kicking - 20% •Tegumi (Okinawan Grappling/Wrestling) - 20% ~INTERMEDIATE •Loading, Tripping, Reaping, Sweeping - 20% •Joint Manipulation, Vital Point Attacks, Vital Area Attacks, Muscle Disruption, Tendon Disruption - 20% ~ADVANCED •Kobudo (Ancient Ways) - 20% __________________________________ = UA KARATE-JUTSU 100%
My hope is that other Jiu-Jitsu schools adopt your method so the folks that want to learn self defense, do so. By the way, my first Jiu-Jitsu book was Jiu-Jitsu complete in the 1980’s. I see it on your shelf. Obrigado Brothers.
