If you do one class, you will understand why jujutsu is the ideal self-defense system for our lives.

Well said Professor. I live in the North East of England and have trained Judo and Jujutsu for 26 years, I hold Shodans in both. I can't stand to see how bad modern BJJ has become. I trained for one reason, self-defence. It's so refreshing to see Jujutsu taught in its entirety and original intent.

Jiu Jitsu, how it’s taught at Valente Brothers, yes. As it’s taught by the majority of BJJ schools…no.

Any of Helios sons teach the same. 99,% of schools teach watered down crap, where injuries happen often

How would you recommend someone train if they do not live near a Valente Brothers school or affiliate? Basically what would be the second best option for the rest of us.

That's exactly the kind of Jiu-Jitsu I would like to train. Hopefully you'll share more of your curriculum with the world, whether it be here on KZread, through an online training service, a book, or whatever medium may work best.

For some reason this kind of jiu-jitsu is so rare but wouldn't everyone want a complete system rather than just learning how to "floor grapple"? Even if they gave recommendations on how to train if you live in the other 99% of the world that mostly teaches sport jiujitsu.

In Europe and also in pre BJJ USA this is/was the way Jiu Jitsu/ Ju Jitsu / Ju Jutsu looked like. Not exactly but kind of.

Da merkst du schnell was dort geht an Techniken und was nicht.

Its a shsne you have no schools outside your HQ, your jiu-jitsu is the best version of the art, all bjj schools are competitive in nature snd nothing else

Just give it a rest! While you are rolling around in the mud with one attacker, his buddies are going to destroy you with a kick you the head or neck, or use a kick to sever your spinal cord. Compared to numerous kung-fu systems, your punches are pathetically feeble, as are your kicks.

Compared to numerous Kung-fu systems that teach what? If you are fighting more than one opponent, you are going to the ground. Unless you are using "levitation kung-fu", then I agree, that would work better.
