These guys are legends!!! In the early 1990s after training in Karate, Wing Chun and Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do, I cross trained with some other martial artists and NHB guys who had been to Holland, Thailand and Brazil, doing BJJ Lute Livre and Vale Tudo. I learned a ton of clinch work and grappling. After seeing UFC 1 on VHS me and some of my training partners became vagabonds traveling around and training at different schools including a Renzo Gracie juijitsu affiliated school and later with a Rigan Machado affiliated dojo. I have always focused on self-defense combative approach and love the idea of the original jits with hits, submission only 3 belt system using the white/light blue and navy blue belt! I have hardly even looked back at my JKD training, I guillotined armbar and RNC lots of guys until the early to mid 2000s unless they were BJJ guys most never saw it coming.

Can anyone do this sir. I have been doing BJJ for 6 years now. Don’t care about the sport aspect, but have total respect for it. I am Pro Gracie way, and would love to honor them when the time comes. OSS 🙏

Thank you. So far only those who have been awarded the Professors Diploma by grandmaster Helio have donned the navy belt.

I used to like blue … but since Helio choose that one already, I was okay accepting the Purple. 😅
