Fascinating, they took the same approach as the pak 50 by building 10 versions to test each system separately as you can clearly see the different versions like the hand controller from a bmp 4 on the new gun platform in it's first edition. Then they build a better one on the next were not allowed to see. Who ever is in charge of development of these platforms is a genius and methodical!

This is the Russian engineering school traditional approach... A Russians traditional folks' saying is: 'Do Measure for ten times, Cut only once!'... The traditional Russian approach to check many times in different versions. Do produce only in case if you are very sure! Additionally, Russians do prefer to design the things which can be reused and upgraded many times per their life... It's just cheaper! ;-))

Frankly speaking were a northern people who have very little in common with our neighbors or the UK lol... Yes our government defiantly doesn't represent our majority that is for sure. So basically Kurganets is built for carry and dropping troops in the remote area, Boomerang for fast and quick action, while T-15 for carry and dropping the troops on heavy firefight in urban area

Between the kurganets, boomerang, t14 main battle tank, the t15 and 16 they really created a crazy platform.that has interchangeable parts and on top.of thay they are prob the best in the world ! I think they should export these and it would probably bring then tons of money

Genau das hoffe ich auch. Dass wir nie wieder gegen die Russen antreten müssen, so wie es unsere Urgroßväter und Großväter mussten. Jedoch, die Witzfigur Heiko Maas gibt sich seit Jahren alle Mühe, uns die Russen wieder zum Feind zu machen. Und leider gibt es jede Menge "ewig gestriger Individuen", die das sogar toll finden.

9:01 my disappointment is immeasurable but still it's still either the best or second best IFV (depending on whether it's used in a city or a jungle) in my opinion

I wonder if the front end can be angled as a bow plate and also used like a bulldozer blade to build its own fortifications and concealment? Guessing it's made from aluminium?:)

Its made only to deploy the soldiers in battlefield and March( move ) alongside with them So its has no duties that require it to be stationed in its position Its duty of tanks and yaa alot of tanks have that bulldozer

If you listened and read what they say, you would not ask stupid questions. Combined armor and active defense. They started to show a test of a conventional 10mm steel armor plate, which covers the main 30mm armor alloy, the test of which was also shown. Then these 2 layers armor is covered with active armor, which, when hit by a large projectile, creates an oncoming explosion and destroys any pressure on the main armor. Above is an active defense system that catches approaching missiles and large-caliber shells. Then, in the direction of detection, the active system throws out a special grenade of an oncoming explosion, which destroys any projectile or missile at 1.1 / 2 meters in a split second. Although this is an additional measure of protection, active armor is already enough to destroy any projectile.

It would be nice if they install dual barrels canon like their Terminator counterpart.

They are in no hurry. They are under no threat and they have no plans to fight in the immediate future. Not everyone is or need to be driven purely by profit. Given their territorial holdings and a tiny population, they are wealthy enough to not need profit.

They couldn't afford it pre war, so not and it's just artisan production or unmoving factory lines. Just this week the Russians released footage from the T-14 "Factory" and nothing has changed in 3 years, the tools are in the same place, there are no workers, the only change was dust.

@@Akendesuu jeah this article is somewhat correct but the problems with the project is best sumarized in this article militaryarms.ru/voennaya-texnika/boevye-mashiny/bmp-kurganec/ Main issiues are that as fo right now the company has serious finnancial problems ( gigantic debt with gazprom ) and is acctually owned largely by netherland investors ( wich is in russian defense industry very rare to be foregin owned ) not only that but the vehicel itself has certain problems and weaknesses compared to the vehciels it shoud replace ( liek weaker armamament and too high profile for the russian defenseminitsry etc etc. ) fruther then that it costs 5 times more then an bmp 3 deep modernization ( and said bmp 3 modernization is in terms of capabilitiys very simmilar ) and there is also the "heavy" IFV T15 on armata basis wich enters the troops this year and has solid deal signed in other words it will enter service . so the kurgan is there to fill the role of the light IFV thats also amphibic wich can be filled by very capapble modernized BMP 3 upgrade. BUT despite all of this the project is not dead yet. 1. the Vehicels are currently in troop trials and there are still pictures appearing of the vehicels in use and training 2. The vehicel is still presented at arms expo and victory day parades 3. russian armed forces still have the intend to aquire the vehicels there have been no official statement that the vehicel will be scraped 4. development is ongoing 5. my opinion about this : my guess is that probably the company will be saved by rus gov ( maybe buying it back or making a large contract like they already made with a tank factory in Omsk ) . most likely a redesign of the vehicel will happen to comply with certain MOD requirements. even in a worst case scenario ( wich for me is russian armed forces wont take it into service ) it is very likely that the vehicel will still continiue development for export ( there are a lot of examples in the defenseindustry and who knows maybe like the vehicel TIGR in a few years they might rethink ). Also consider the confidence the armed forces have in this vehicel for the public since i seriously doubt they would show of the vehicel at huge arms expos and the victory parade if that stuff wasnt promising. further i add that there are plans to do combat tests of this vehicel in syria ( according to some reports it apperently even already happened ). all that said officially right now kurganetz 25 tests are to be completeted in the year 2021 or 22. but who knows.
