I think running a business is mainly doing a lot of things yourself and we can't possibly know everything ourselves. That is when we need mentors, we need guidance.
Mentorship shortens the journey to success. When we tap into the knowledge of others, we are building on top of what was already established, we are not exactly starting from zero.
Also, you may not want to be alone in your journey. When we have someone with us, the journey is easier. You have someone seek help, ask for opinions, and discuss ideas. Two brains are better than one.
