Thank you Leah for coming on and sharing so vulnerably and openly. CPTSD sucks.Been there done that I'm with you. IFS and EMDR yesssss.Im so sorry for what you have been through. And you inspired me.The Balei Tshuva part.True growing without the bells and whistles.Pulling yourself up from your bootstraps and choosing Hashem every day and a real connection even when you have every right to be angry and hate.Choosing healing and growth. As a fellow survivor and thriver I get it. All we get is hate and judgment when in truth we are true Balei Tshuvah.Hanging in there every day and trying out best. Thank you being one of the yummy Jews that make me smile and proud to be a jew.

Dear. Leah, May you have much Bracha and Hatzlacha in Bringing Mashiach! You are passionately compassionate. You made a point about religion and narcissism that they go hand in hand. I, too, gave the idea a lot of thought and came to an understanding. First off, religious narcissism is wrong. It may cause deep trauma that hurts more than any physical pain. However, as I pondered the reality of hierarchical community abuse, a question arose; why would an elderly Chasiddish Yid/ina appear outwardly to be enmeshed with the community when inwardly they are selfless? A fantastic answer came to light. Indeed, too many individuals bully to force mirrors. However, there is a higher purpose for people to seem as though they are similar, and you embody the result so beautifully. In a Chasiddish community, there are young and old mature and childish. The former and latter do not necessarily mix, creating a conundrum. By keeping the immature in a box, their offspring, family, or acquaintances can survive until they can detach and carry through an emotional birth. Elderly individuals who are mature and healthy still keep up appearances, not for themselves, but for their grandchildren who were born to their immature adult kids. Hashem has beautiful ways of loving! Though it is complicated, he is the one with a master plan which includes all his children. May you be happy and healthy!

Lemme make something clear. Somebody commented that shame on that you didn't experience a nice Torah life, an added shame on you. It is not a shame. Shame is when something is wrong. It's not wrong. It's a pity sometimes that we have such beautiful good talented men and women that can enhance everyone's life but go through a rough times. Torah is beautiful and so is a modern art but if you don't understand it then you don't like it. Very understandable. I wish you all 3 the best.
