I love your podcast so much and look forward to it. Your enthusiasm for sharing knitting is so lovely! You actually had an impact on my Christmas-on a podcast a while back you shared a purse you had purchased. The Bee Bag from Lyons Leather Co. I instantly thought it was absolutely beautiful and I sent a link to my husband who bought me the forest green one for Christmas!! He also bought the matching wallet and key fob and it was such a delight to open on Christmas morning. Thank you for also sharing the non-yarny things!

Such a gorgeous sweater that you're wearing! I wonder if your colourwork is a bit snug around the yoke. Maybe try a larger needle for the colourwork in future, or do extra increases in the yoke. In the meantime, try blocking the sweater, and just pin just the yoke out a tiny bit wider. Hopefully the yarn isn't too grippy, so you can still do that. It's such a beautiful sweater, you deserve to enjoy wearing it!

Thanks for the tip! I am starting to wonder if that is the problem as well. I wonder in top down if I start out tighter than my swatch and it’s affecting my fit. Super idea about re-blocking! I will do that. It is a wonderful yoke

That is a great thought! I think i did do short rows, what I am starting to wonder is for top down if my gauge is a bit tight when starting off my projects…hmmm

@@ColoradoKnitter it could be. I don’t like a tight neck! If I have an issue with the first row it’s because it’s too tight!

I am considering knitting the Clara Cardigan and notice the designer put, what I guess is, short row shaping in front panels next to front ribbing which I don’t care for. It seems to disrupt the look of the front. Did you do the shaping or leave it out? I looked at photos of other’s projects and it appears that some did them while others left them out. I can’t tell for sure but it looks as though you left them out but would like to know your thoughts on making that decision.

I went back to read the version of the pattern I worked from and I don’t think I did any short rows on the front panels. Keep me posted if you decide to knit it!
