As a reference librarian at a small public library, i appreciate that you visit your local library and your book reviews. I don't read fantasy so i enjoy hearing your reviews and can make some recommendations to those who do. I also love the knitting and crocheting content too!!!

Oh Stephanie. This was a spectacular episode!!! From the intro video scenes to the yarn choices/colors and your knits/projects...just fabulous. I actually ordered some Purl Soho yarn this morning as their yarns are wonderful (I am a huge Good Wool and Linen Quill fan) but it looks as if I'll have to check out Woolens and Nosh 😊 for some sock yarn. I just finished a pair while watching (using self striping West Yorkshire Spinners yarn) and am ready to cast on another pair with some Echoes Gusto Wool. Definitely in a sock phase and some of yours are very inspiring. Thank you for sharing your work!!!

Thank you so so much for your kind words!! I was feeling tentative getting behind the camera again after not chatting about all my projects for 6 weeks. It's like a muscle that needs to be exercised! Yay for another Purl Soho fan!! Good Wool and Linen Quill are probably my favorite go-tos for garments currently. LOVE West Yorkshire Spinners too - so hard-wearing and comes in so many colors and self-patterning options. Take care!❤️

A low for me today is I’ve been getting a low level sore throat on and off for the past week. I’m not sick sick, just have a general off feeling. A high would be that I just finished blocking a cabled sweater I made for my Dad. It’s probably the biggest project I’ve taken on yet. Sunday I’ll be gifting it to him on his birthday, and I’m just so excited! I really enjoyed this episode, especially the book recommendations! I’ve saved a few of the titles to check out at the local library.

I'd say my high for the week is we got a few inches of snow, which in the South, means the city is shut down. We are cozy & have plenty of food in the house so it's the perfect excuse not to leave my house. My low is that my grandma with dementia has been put on hospice care. I am finally getting back into reading after several years (I used to be a book-a-week reader but just lost my desire for a while!) and I so enjoy your book reviews. A high and a low! The low, this week, I think is finding what is kind of the perfect house in the perfect location, but realizing that it's just TOO expensive. Like close enough that we could make it work, but we'd have no savings or emergency funds. And even the most perfect house isn't worth that. That was a bummer! Then a second one is that I really overcommitted to test knits through the fall/early winter and now I'm having to power through to make deadlines and not actually enjoy the knitting. Lessons learned! But a high - reading again is so good! I joined a challenge on StoryGraph to read at least a page every day in January and I'm more than meeting that challenge so far. I'm working on consistency this year in lots of habits, and I'm pleased that reading, and keeping the house tidy, are going well so far.

As always, another fun podcast episode! I always love seeing your makes ❤ A low for me is the weather! It snowed a bunch on Monday and now they're calling for snow and negative temperatures the rest of the week. I actually do enjoy snow but I commute out of town for work and it's annoying when the road conditions are bad. A high for me is that I heard from one of my best friends this morning! It wasn't very positive news but I haven't heard from her in months and I've been very worried for her so it was good to hear from her. Another high is that I'm so excited and in love with all my current knitting projects and I can't wait to wear them all!

Low: I'm still really struggling with long covid symptoms from almost a year ago but I am getting better. The brain fog, memory loss and lung sensitive stuff is real friends. I saw my doctor yesterday and she has changed her thoughts/practices around this and will be helping me now. Hurray! High: I had enough clarity today and prepped dinner, lunches for the rest of the week and am almost done with another NightShift Shawl, all while watching this episode. Thank you for keeping me company!

Wonderful episode! Alllll of it! The Henley/striped sweater is on my list. Love everything about it! Low: realllly need to finish things, weaving ends, sock toes, etc High: “Weave-In Wednesday”, minimum 30 minutes. To counteract the “Low” above. My own creation, as I can’t/won’t/don’t follow my own “rules” …lol… I usually try to finish a book, but sometimes…. ugh. I don’t care for topics that are Very similar to current events. I read to escape into other worlds. There’s ALWAYS another book, so now I don’t feel guilty about finishing a “bad” book. Thanks for your inspiration! I'm about 3/4 of the way through A River Enchanted (from your recommendation) & am really enjoying it, too. I love the cast of characters that she took the time to develop & are necessary for the story. I actually liked the Fourth Wing & The Iron Flame ( love the dragon connections), but I can appreciate why you might not enjoy them. It's not for everyone. Loved your Chalet Days sweater!!

I'm glad you're enjoying A River Enchanted! I think a lot depends on my mood when reading a book as well and maybe too much time lapsed between reading Fourth Wing and Iron Flame for me to keep the characters straight lol. Anyway, not saying I'll never read them again but maybe when all the books are published I'll try from the beginning again?! Not saying never! haha.

But yes I absolutely agree with you that it's totally okay for every book not to be for everyone!!

I love all of your projects and really appreciate the detailed notes you put in your ravelry pages. Those are so helpful and I have used them for many projects. I do have a request. Last year you showed dresses that you made for your daughters. I was able to get the same material to make those dresses for my granddaughters. Would you please remind me of that episode? Thank you so much

Happy new year to you! Beautiful projects ❤ My low is because of the freezing temperatures my skin hurts so much, it feels like having a severe sunburn over my entire body, yuck! My high: I received my new spinning wheel in beginning of december as a gift from a good friend and I am spinning up a storm. My current project is spinning to weave fabric for a hinterland dress ❤

Okay, your Winterly Cowl rocks; the stitch pattern is striking; added that pattern to my Rav faves. I really like that Meadow Sprite sock yarn! I want some! I like how the stripes are different in width. Your husband's buttons are amazing; he slayed those. I hope he makes more for your future cardigan. Now that you're through with that Holly Black series, I personally didn't like the first book. I thought the Prince was a douche bag and the other royals bullies. I was going to read Iron Flame as my First Book of the Year but I read mixed reviews on it so I slated it for a later read.

I come here for the knitting inspiration, but truly love the book recommendations you give, I’ve never heard of these books before and have very much enjoyed books you’ve recommended in the past, I’m looking forward to these new book recommendations.

Oh that means so much to me! I always feel vulnerable sharing my opinions on books. Plus, I never want to give away any spoilers so I try to focus on how the writing speaks to me. Take care❤️
