I've made a Wednesday Sweater for myself as part of the KAL and been wearing it alllll the time, to the point where my friends were surprised when I didn't show up in it yesterday, haha. Thank you for giving me the motivation to finish that sweter before the start of 2024!

I had to smile when Kim talked about how hard it is for her to follow a video if the person holds the yarn English style. I am left handed and knit mirrored continental style (yarn tensioned in right hand, stitches move from right hand needle to left hand needle). I have spent so much time searching for lefthanded knit and crochet tutorials 😧

So good to see you two! The KAL was wonderful, as was PetiteKnit pattern. Jonna your Celeste is priceless! Love the color combo and you are right - the fit looks very perfect. Kim, your cardigan is an inspiration. Thanks for the reinforcement (via Thread in Ravelry) that the double-knitting band would work out. It is an ingenious way to do a button band. I bought a skein of bulky yarn to practice on larger needles which helped me understand the technique. After that practice (also for buttonhole) I was ready to tackle the band on my Jenny Jacket. Thanks for a great episode - good to hear about your lives and to see you back. Cheers!

Thanks for this! I’m still working on my PetiteKnit Monday sweater. Thought I could make the KAL deadline but I didn’t. Even so I then thought I’d be done by Friday (1/5) but tonight, just as I got to the ribbing on the cuff of the second sleeve, I went to change to the smaller needle and realized I’d knit the second sleeve with the smaller needle. 😢. Frogged it back to the underarm and I’m at it again. Your podcast was just the inspiration I needed to keep at it. Thank you!!

Love both your Petite Knit garments. I've wanted to try Snefnug for awhile & might have to purchase some now 😊. Thanks for running the KAL. I've really enjoyed making the Sophie Shawl. It's finished but not blocked or photographed yet. The festive season ran away with me. Sometimes I wish I worked part-time but working full time allows me to purchase lovely yarn so I'm not complaining. Take care of yourselves & Kim I'm having a bet with myself about how many different hair colours you have in 2024. Love the way your hair colour coordinates with the yarn store 😊. Kim, I love your enthusiasm for your cardigan. Since I decided to opt for a double-knit button band on my April Cardigan, I haven't touched it! Stress? Avoidance behaviour? I don't know, but I've completely lost steam, even though the sweater is nearly done! But your enthusiasm might be just what I needed (or maybe I need a swift kick in the pants), because it's all I can think think about right now. Jonna, I really love how your Celeste turned out, and now you've got me looking at Snefnug colors. (P.S. I would have named the yarn "Jonna Blue"). Now I'm also interested in the slipover and those leather buttons... Besitos¡!

I do enjoy your podcasts, but am wondering why you often say that hand knits look like "store bought" as if that is something to strive for?? To be honest, I don't want handknits to look "store bought", that is why I hand knit, so they wont look "store bought". When people say that I view it as rather a bit of an insult. Hand knits are much better than "store bought".

Hi! I wear my Ingrid slipover as often as I can. I love the brown one, need that pattern. lol I have a dumb question - do you get commission every time I use the link or only once? I've ordered twice with the link and didn't know if I should keep using it. I have a bunch of their items and love love love the row trackers. They are just sooo much easier. I think they need to make some for back and forth knitting. Knit purl reminders and 135... 246... I am older so I got confused a few times when doing the textures which side I was on and what row. I did figure it out but oh I wished I had had those abilities! Maybe it's just me though. Anyway, I love your channel, watch every one no matter how long. You just feel like besties sitting in my living room talking yarn, patterns etc. So happy you all had great Christmas's. Here's to many more podcasts this new year!

I must be missing something but I can’t find show notes with all the info, including the info about the samples behind them.

I avoided tubular cast on and bind off for the longest time. Found it really fiddly until I came across Lorilee Beltman's method of using JMCO (Judy's Magic Cast On) as the set up rows. There's a bit of a jog when joining in the round (due to set up rows of double knitting) but the tail takes care of it. Tubular bind off (IMHO) is also so totally worth it! Enjoyed this episode despite not having a Petite Knit garment in my collection yet. Only Sophie scarves :) kzread.info/dash/bejne/e4iBm7yolNGThc4.html

I really enjoy your podcast and beautiful knitting. I just wish you didn’t go in to quite so much detail explaining what you knit.
