@@oboyeblessing9562 After having an episiotomy there are 2 factors determining when you can get pregnant again 1)when your body is able to have intercourse again because for many it is too painful at first. This is where working with a pelvic floor physical therapist/physiotherapist is very beneficial to reduce scar tissue and address pain. 2) when your menstrual cycle returns. For some women it does not return for months to years after pregnancy, especially if you are breastfeeding. I hope this answers many of your questions! I got pregnant 11 months after my episiotomy, but for each woman this time frame is different!

Unfortunately, this is often true! There is so much healing to be done after an episiotomy. Highly recommend working 1 on 1 with a pelvic PT to address that lingering pain. Personally it helped me so much and I've seen it help many of my clients as well! Wishing you all the best with the remainder of your recovery.

The unbearable part for surviving everyday life was only a week or 2. Sex was unbearable/not possible for almost 9 months (working with a physical therapist from about months 4-9 every couple of weeks). It sounds like you are still in the unbearable stage?

@@DoctorNicole were you taking pain killers? My wife gave birth six days ago and she’s taking pain killers every 8 hours. She’s in a lot of pain. She saying it’s the worst pain she had in her life and wishes she done a c section. Were you feeling like this? Is that what you mean by unbearable? Also when do you start these stretches etc.. I don’t see it being possible any time soon she’s in a lot pain while lying down doing nothing.

@@aishaansarii3971 I hope you are feeling ok-I know first hand that it can be rough! You're amazing for looking into best ways to heal already! Some things to include in your diet specifically for scar healing are vitamins A and C, thiamine, pyridoxine, riboflavin and minerals like zinc, iron, and copper. Foods you would find these in are fruits, colorful vegetables (especially leafy greens), nuts, my personal favorite dark chocolate, red meat, beans, and organ meats like liver if you're up for it! Wishing you all the best with your recovery! Reach out via email if you have additional questions nicole@mamasandmisses.com
