I decided to do a little overview of the epiphone ripper, as there are hardly any proper videos on youtube of epiphone rippers. I hope this helps any one if they are concidering one.

Good review...it was quite helpful and informative. I've just bought a natural-finish model from Guitar Center online here in the US. Now all I need to do is wait for it to be shipped across the country!

@Jaclcoolio pleased your pleased about it! first time i'v talked to a camera so its not as good as it could be. I am was using a peavey mark 3 xp series head, through a laney dp 100 combo speaker. nothting special, i would prefer somthing better.

@bmiranda2645 Thank you! Thats why i decided to make this video, because i couldnt find any videos that showed it all properly, when buying a bass it always helps to see/ hear what your getting. Does have a fairly good range of tones. I did think about buying some g-3 pickups, and putting them in to get mikes sound. Tis a big old thing, feels nice to rest rest your wrist on it, tho its not as big as my old g-3, which i wish i hadnt of traded! Cool, i shall cehck it out :)

@conoreso no problem! glad you liked it thats why i did this review. cos its always nice to see and hear somthing properly. and not many people seem to do that. and its an interesting bass. not as good as a gibson ripper tho. my only gripe with this bass is the necks fucking fat.

Hey Im thinkin about buyin this bass but i hav 2 choose between this 1 and a Matt Freeman signature bass and i know i like how the Freeman feels but i like the Tippers sound better but like u said the neck is pretty thick and makes it uncomfortable to play so i was wonderin if u knew wat the beck radius of this bass is or wat ur best guess is Thanks :)
@andyg312 жыл бұрын
@mattbasssparkes hey its kinda hard to say. iv never properly played a p bass. its fine to play. but id just like it thinner. it measures 1 11/16" (43mm) at the nut and 3/4" (20mm) thick. roughly

Compared to a grabber or G3 how does this one compare? In playability and sound?
@andyg3

Sounds very different, as this had a p/j pickup configuration, grabber has 1 humbucker, g3 has 3 single coils. All give very different sounds. I sold this bass as i hated the playability. The neck was the fattest most horrible thing i have ever played. And it was nearly impossible to set up properly. Epiphone stuff is normally good but this was a let down
@andyg312 жыл бұрын
id go for the ripper. it has a p bass pickup in it so u can get a p bass sound as well as other sounds. yeah i hate the neck. its a shame really. i have no idea what the radius would be tho, sorry!
