Epileptic Runners Vlog: Barefoot Running - NVR STOP 10

Welcome back to my vlog! In this episode, I continue my journey to qualify for the Boston Marathon while managing my epilepsy. Running has been a lifelong passion, and aiming for one of the most prestigious marathons in the world is both a challenge and a dream. This journey goes beyond running; it’s about raising awareness and funds for the Epilepsy Foundation, a cause that’s very close to my heart.
In this video, I’ll take you deeper into my training routine, share the obstacles I encounter, and celebrate the milestones I achieve. From intense training sessions to balancing my health condition, you’ll see the raw and real experiences of an epileptic runner striving for greatness. My goal is to motivate others with epilepsy to chase their dreams and underscore the importance of supporting the epilepsy community.
I’m excited to share that I’ve started incorporating barefoot running into my training. This new approach has brought its own set of challenges and benefits. You’ll see how I’m adapting my form, strengthening my feet, and experiencing running in a whole new way. Barefoot running not only improves my technique but also connects me more intimately with the ground beneath my feet, enhancing my overall running experience.
Each mile I run, whether in shoes or barefoot, brings us closer to the Boston Marathon and closer to making a significant impact. Join me on this journey, share your own stories, and consider donating to the Epilepsy Foundation to support crucial research and programs.
