Agreed 100%. KZread is full of hipsters that have been fooled into believing they're "woodworkers" by an algorithm. This channel is actual woodworking. No pocket holes, no corners cut, no hiding errors with trim, etc. It is great to have another quality channel to look forward to learning from, because there aren't many left! ps- I prefer the solid top as well.

I am constantly amazed at your skill repertoire, whether it be with large workshop machines, hand power tools or straight out hand tools. It is a joy for an 'old' man used to working with his hand tools to see you so happily transition to power tools to pure hand tools with such comfort & accomplishment. You will happily pick up a plane of any size or a chisel etc & use them with such great skill. This bench you have made may be a work station but it is also a work of Art & be admired as such. Some of the joints you worked out for this piece were so complicated but made to look relatively simple by your skills & thinking ability. Magnificent stuff my friend, I will watch this many times to come such was the pleasure for this old disabled man. Cheers, Don from South Aust.

The only thing more sexy than watching a man working (literal) wood, designing and building extraordinarily beautiful creative and useful products and that is watching the same guy surf ! Amazing!!! Loved the techno phantom of the opera music around 18 minutes in. I don’t typically comment or subscribe (big deal, right?!) but this vid warranted it.

In my opinion, this is not the pinnacle of workbenches modern or otherwise. It is beautiful and your skills are off the chart but this is a demonstration piece. A marketing tool for potential clients. It isn't a workbench. A workbench must be something that can be made quickly so one can get on with the real work. This beautiful piece is impracticle. Most woodworkers are hobbyists and have neither the skill nor the equipment to make it, but you know that. Again, it's a great piece and provides proof that you are someone that should be considered for high end commission work.

Man I am just so impressed with this. I watch so many makers on KZread literally every day and just silently admire. Literally never comment. But this, I had to say something about. Very well done, just amazing.
