Day 21 of our FindUsCamping Crawl brought us to the awe-inspiring Gooseneck State Park, a place where canyon views take your breath away. We parked our RV right on the canyon's rim, ready for an evening of stunning scenery and peaceful relaxation. But nature had different plans for us!
As we settled in, dark clouds began to gather, and within minutes, we were facing a storm like no other. The thunder rumbled and the winds howled, rocking our RVs from side to side. The rain came in sideways, splashing through our windows and turning our cozy setup into a tempestuous adventure. For 20 minutes, it felt like we were battling the elements, but the experience was one we won't soon forget.
Once the storm passed, the sky cleared, and we were treated to a magnificent sunset over the canyon. The peace that followed was almost surreal, making the earlier chaos seem like a distant memory. However, our evening took an unexpected turn when we received some disturbing news from a fellow RVer.
