Luckily I used prepaid visa cards to buy things on Epic

So glad I never attached any payment information to my Epic account before I boycotted them. Whenever you think they hit rock bottom they just keep digging.

Wow 😮 that's around the same timeline my epic games account got hacked to. only my main account got hacked. my secondary account didn't get hacked so it was during that time

I lost access to my epic games account and I play on ps5 nothing I can really do besides hope not happened to me specifically

Ah yes, give up trusting a company because said company gets attacked. Surely makes a whole lot of sense. If my local grocery store gets robbed, I shall never have business with them again, how dare they get robbed.

I think there's a key difference between a "local grocery store" and a multi billion dollar corporation that you entrust with all of your sensitive information. It's on them to keep our information secure and not allow it to fall into the wrong hands. A grocery store gets robbed. How does that affect you directly? Not like this. So very bad comparison there.

Boy did the point go over your head there... First and foremost, you've jumped into a conclusion with a video from a simple announcement of ALLEGED compromise, to which proof doesn't even exist by said hacking group. Secondly, despite how much you invest into cybersecurity, a breach is ALWAYS a possibility. It's pathetically stupid to blame someone or something for being attacked. Thirdly, in this day and age it's more than highly likely that information is encrypted, payment information isn't kept in a company's databases, who deals with payments using third-party processors.
