Another Bellroy pack!
This Bellroy Totepack has this quirky urban look - just incredible overall aesthetics which you can get in 6 different color options. It also has a simple user experience and provide decent comfort. The downside is it's got non-PU coated zips and underwhelming weather-resistant materials, and this is a dealbreaker for many.
In this Bellroy Tokyo Totepack review, we will make sure to breakdown all the things you need to know about this tote/pack fusion. Is this the coolest EDC or it's really just a marketing thing? Watch now to find out!

Watched this review despite already having the product. I think you nailed this review and agree with you 100% . Still my favourite EDC backpack though, since I mainly travel light. The back pocket where you store the straps could also be used to store flat things in like a notebook, you won't feel a thing! I have the 20L version and I even once fitted a frozen pizza inside after doing groceries.

This was my first watch on the channel... I think I'll be coming back for more (yep, I'll hit the subscribe button!). Really informative and honest review. I've been thinking of getting a suitable backpack for travelling - use in the cabin & while at destination - as opposed to an EDC. This could fit the bill. Funnily enough, I've also been considering a cross-body sling-pack from Bellroy too.

I stuck with you even after the water bottle comment 😂 just because I love this channel! I actually agree with you and always look for bags with a good solution for interior storage of 2 (yes, that's right, 2) insulated cups - one for water and one for coffee. If the bag has outside pockets anyway, I use for umbrella and mask. I am currently using the PD 30L everyday and use the pop-up dividers to keep the 2 cups in place. It works well, but I am excited to see how your backpack design turns out 😁

This was extremely helpful! I do have one question though. The 14L says its for up to a 13" laptop. Do you think that's an accurate statement or is there some wiggle room? My work laptop is Lenovo is a T14s, so 14", and I really don't want the larger 20L backpack as I'm pretty small (5'-2"). Do you think it would fit in the 14L version, or is your 13" MBP a tight fit? Thanks!!

Hey Aaron! Thank you so much for this review. I am currently doing a research, and your channel is extremely helpful! May I suggest some bags to review? Bellroy Tokyo Workbag, Bellroy System Messenger, and Bellroy Tech briefcase. I am a media composer and I am looking for some solutions to transform my studio to a mobile studio. I am looking some kind of bags that can casual, functional and comfortable; also look professional if I have to go to a meeting. Thank you so much! :)

I have the Tech Briefcase and Tokyo Workbag. After using both, I have to say that the Tokyo Workbag is the most functional messenger style bag I've used. It has a very nice partitioned exterior front pocket for tech gear. Good organization in the interior that is also surprisingly spacious inside and it can expand quite nicely as well and has a well designed exterior water bottle pocket. A back panel pocket and luggage pass through ties it all together. The tech briefcase is cheaper and a lot simpler but it lacks a lot in utility if that's what your looking for. I skipped on the system messenger as the style just didn't vibe with me.

I have the same 14L version in the same colour and it's my current EDC for work. I like the weight and the size of this backpack. I did notice a couple of differences: first, there is only 1 zip tab for the main compartment in my bag, so it only opens and closes 1 way. Second, the key ring in the front pocket of my bag is a bit different. It's same as the g hook that is used in the back straps, unlike the round one shown in the video.

Hey, I know this video is one year old and you probably won’t ever see this comment, but I think it’s important to mention the fact that it only has one entrance to the main compartment is good for security. It means that to pull something out of your main compartment a thief would have to reach up to your shoulder height unzip the compartment then dig their hand into the bag. Versus when you have a side pocket which is way easier to quickly shove their hand into the compartment after they bump into you.
