The ease and joy hides a lot of practice , which when joyfully done, results in this ! the child clearly is a genius stock. but she is still a work in progress. nothing can check out and show the levels and the limitations in the state of progress as classical music can - as this video demonstrates so clearly. the girl is still struggling to keep the tala, misses some swaras and is not at the same nonchalant ease that you saw in her AGT audition viral clip.... the answer? practice, practice, practice.... and it is a no-brainer that the more she practises in the carnatic music the more and more effortless to mesmerising she will be in the westerns, which is a 'child's play' in comparison (i say it as a matter of fact, with zero snobbery or condescension.) there is no question that she has a tremendous future, if she stays the path and goes the 9 yards. our very best wishes and blessings, for sure. here is an indian kid making it and making all of us proud.

I love seeing how NOT ready she is, though, because it shows just how much a myth it is that talent is natural-born. Practice, practice, practice, practice. To the point where you can forget technique and focus JUST on the music.

When I played the last part in charanam my heart was beating so fast since I know I’ve reached the ending of the song with no mistakes and I got very excited and very pumped up at the same time. A special experience. That’s why I love playing long songs. 😊 This song is probably the hardest I’ve played so far. A lot of variations to remember.

Awesome talent. This guitar played Sounds like Veena. Keeping swaras intact is quite difficult but nicely rendered. Gamaka is also achieved to a appreciable extent on this highly discrete reed instrument unlike violin. All the best.

Thank you! 😊 It’s so ridiculously hard to slide so fast and still stop at the right notes. Sometimes I have to stop on many multiple notes in 1 slide itself. Luckily my hands are doing it automatically now so it’s easier after a year since I started learning this technique. 😁
