EP9 The pond dam is done! Building a BIG POND with small machines! KIOTI NS6010 & Bobcat E42 R2

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this series of videos, we'll be building a BIG POND with small equipment!
In this 9th video, we'll be using the KIOTI NS6010 & Bobcat E42 R2 series Mini Excavator to build our pond.
This machine is compact yet powerful, making it perfect for constructing small ponds and drainage systems.
If you're interested in learning how to build a BIG POND with small equipment, be sure to check out the rest of the series!
BACKGROUND
Last year we decided to build a large pond deep in the woods just below our 'future' vrbo cabin build project. Notice how we have a lot of 'visions' and ideas of what we can create, because we each have an active imagination! Today is another video series that follows along with us on the ACTUAL CREATIONS of our future visions! Here is a link to the full playlist of this pond build project that started last year as it was all very deep woods and heavily overgrown with trees, brush and debris:
• Our biggest pond build...
And here is a link to the last pond core trench video from last November before we gave it up for the winter: • EP #4 Finishing the co...
So, this week we took up completing the big pond build with the hopes that we could get it completely dug and finished before any severe rains hit us here in Southern Illinois. So for EP #9 of the pond build project we will COMPLETE THE POND DAM (Or so we thought..) and do the final dirt grading of the pond so that we are ready for the big storms that are coming tomorrow! And speaking of thunderstorms, gulley washers and torrential rains be sure to subscribe to catch the next episode of this pond build for the live action video of the pond dam blowing out from a severe gulley washer rain event!! We will also build up the pond dam over the recently moved pond dam overflow pipe and build an emergency spillway just in case we get a gulley washer rain event, that might fill the entire pond up before the next time we get back to working on it (what are the odds right?? Well, in the coming episodes that's exactly what happened! And the water blew right through the pond dam!) In today's episode I will be using my bobcat e42 R2 series mini excavator with the 'Godzilla' bucket, a 36" digging bucket that can really move some dirt! Pro Staffer Phil will be using my KIOTI NS6010 hst cab tractor with the standard dirt bucket on the tractor loader and the box blade on the rear 3 point hitch to try to maximize the dirt moving process. We will have to contend with very dry and hardened clay, that seemed like concrete in some spots due to the drought we've had this summer so far. Thanks for joining us for today's adventure we hope you'll subcribe to join us on more life, land and excavation adventures! #kapperoutdoors #kapperoutdoors2 #kioti #kiotitractor #kiotins6010 #ponddig #letsdig18 #pondbuild #pondbuilders #bobcate42 #bobcatequipment #miniexcavator

That was a beast of a downpour. I think we got around 6” in a matter of hours over here on the West side. Went from a drought to Amazon rains overnight. Crazy how it did a 180. We’ve had 4.25” the past week alone

Well the good news is I've done this long enough now that I don't get too worked up like I used to. Now that I know as long as you have machines and some skill you can fix it!
