You guys are scaring the crap out of me. I spent 20 years in the Navy and have seen many lines and ropes part. You had guys standing in the bite of the ropes, guys stepping over ropes under strain, guys standing directly in line with the direction of pull where a parted rope will travel, and guys in the work area who really did not need to be there. Please take more care in the future parting lines and ropes are no joke. They will literally tear body parts off. (before anyone makes a dumb comment, if it's made from fibers, it's line, if it's made of metal it's rope)

They got back when I really pulled hard nice thing about cable is it don't really fly like chain will its goes straight and falls quick
Been there Two machines Able to salvage one , the other not so good pull it out and then part it out
oh my god a d8 lol friends uncle had a d8 forester with the extra heavy hood... the thing pushed over 5 foot thick tree's lol amazing power
cudos to the person who attach the chain underwater in the mud.
O' holly CRAP .Ya got it out. great job. RUIN THE ENGINE WITH ALL THAT WATER IN IT. BET YOR GLAD IT IS NOT YOURS. Great video Thanks.
It would have been much cheaper and easier to dewater this small lake if you were allowed to pump this water over the outlying area. Placing a containment around the machine would have collected all the oils.
Holy crap he was determined to get her out. It sounds like when the piston dead headed it may have bent a rod, with all the smoke and clatter from the engine this little jaunt may hurt his behind.
The baby is alive it is a miracle that awesome!!!!!🫢great job!!!!!🔴🫢🤫that is new to me !!!🤫
Nice job. Poor machine. They don't like to swim
This whole thing was amazing to watch.
that motors rappin like 50-Cent, shes done for im sure of it, they dont knock like that.
When D,G,S post a video you knows it’s going to be good. Put that D8 to work.
good video
Great work because it takes real skill to work three together! My hat is off to you all!
Gotta LOVE Old mechanical Equipment!! Still runs great lol 👍👍
They're yelling at that operator to shut the machine down and he's like "Nope. It's coming out right now" and it sure did.
Hope they managed to shut the engine down before it went under. Great recovery!
You can’t kill those 892s I’ve got two of them myself great machines
Nothing like cat fishing in the pond
Good job on the recovery. That Deere saline like it has a bit of a knock in the engine. I hope they didn’t hurt anything too badly

Such a pleasure to watch these machines being run by skilled and experienced operators! Well done!
I hope the engine on the excavator was not trashed!
Great job!

Thank you!
Better than watching the Barnum n Baily

I just wish we had a monkey or a elephant
I wouldnt tension the cable untill spectators are safe distance away
get that guy in the black coat taking pics the hell out of there. if things snap he will be dead before he knows what hit him.
Too many drivers and not enough operators.
Pulled up by it's own bootstraps!
That ground gave way? Shocker... I feel for the guy... but damn.

Contaminated water would like a word.. .. ..
that 270 hitachi looks nice
WOW can't believe you got that out and it started impressive nice work fella's
So many people trying to die if that cable snaps on the first pull have been driving the tow tracker when this has happened the rollbar saved me with some quick reactions dangerous business well done getting her out

Exactly what I was thinking. I took a mine site safety course back in the 70s. Nobody should be standing near the pull cable.
What needed to be done to get it back in working order? Was the engine ok?
that thing weeighs half as much as an M1A1? holy crap!
Good job, dangerous visitors
“Dead” MACHINE!! I am so relieved that your thumbnail wasn’t speaking of scooping up drowning victims… Enjoyable video though; I always gravitate to watching and doing work with mechanical advantage

Oh I definitely wouldn't be videoing something that there was a death involved with that would be disrespectful....thank you for watching!!
no wonder the shelf sank! it's all sand + water + vibration = liquefaction!
I know the pecking order, can be confusing. But pull 3 ft, talk about it 30, min. pull 3 talk 30. They will eventually get it out.
HEY!!! You can't park that there! WTH? Emotional damage!!!
Great job. Please let us know what repairs you did had to do. Thanks and keep them coming..
It is a very bad idea for this guy to stand next to a cable under tension, if that cable snap and get him, he will be dead and not the excavator. It is a good practice to throw a heavy coat or a wet blanket over the cable.
