Wow.... I took that model back in the mid 80's turned it into a convertible softtop, everything worked like the real car would. Open doors, trunk, gas lid, roll up windows (4). Stereo subs i made from earbuds, working lights (inside and out), glovebox, ashtray, i spent 9 months building that car

If I'm not mistaken, the AMT/Ertl catalog from late 80's/early 90's had this kit in lemon yellow with similar graphics on the box art. Very nice build👍

I have the one i built in the 80's
You killin me with sanding that tire...😂 Put it over a pencil and lock the drill on with a ziptie if the trigger don't have a lock. Let the tire spin on the pencil and slow the tire with your finger and the tire will get a "real" tread surface
Turn out great love the color you used

Thanks, but probably looks better on video LOL
The 3 nova's at the car show where 67's. The easiest way to tell a 66 from 67 is the head light bezels and front fenders. 66 have a smooth head light bagels & 67 bezels have groves to match the grill and they rap around the fenders, at more of a angle. I had that model kit back in the mid 80's when it first came out as a pro street and the box art was a yellow car with painted Chrome, same decals. Mount the tires in the drill and use a fingernail file to sand them

Far as cutting out the hood,I use a new blade and use the back of the blade it cuts better .
Any chance that I could use this chassis for a 63 chevy II build? I wanna surprise a friend with a model of his real life build.

What glue do you use
@JunkyardsandBarnFindswithSean

I use testors tube glue for most of the build, and then superglue for mirrors and small parts and Mod Podge for clear parts
Do have any tips on new beginners

Dont freak out if you mess up, follow the directions, and I use the tube glue by testors because it is slow to bond, so you can seperate if have issue. Use Mod Podge for all the clear parts, and build and paint what you want it to be. For real beginner, check out EP205, Dodge Charger. It is a great easy first build that looks great.

Any color but refidgirator white. I hate white cars and trucks. Sorry, just my opinion.

No worries, It was the best color for the decals, and the first white car I have modeled.
