Obligatory solitaire seeker here. I was a cast off from Mormonism who found paganism/witchcraft and now feel drawn to Wicca in particular. I wish I found this channel two years ago. Such a wealth of knowledge.

Hello Manon I have been a witch for over 10 years now and I like to listen to other witches talk about there top tips for beginners so that if I missed something that I think would be good for me to incorporate into my witchcraft I can and I have to say I really like your and I wish I knew some of them when I was starting out in the craft but as I'm always saying it's never too late to learn and you find out what you need to know at the moment you need to know it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im originally from Alabama, deep bible belt. =) Really enjoying your stuff man. I don't really have a path. I've definitely mixed it up, but not really on purpose. Example: when I was 18 I got 4 symbols tattooed around a dragon I already had, under the dragon I had my friend tat the words Spirit Walker (had no idea what it meant, just thought it sounded cool, I was an idiot! But apparently protected). I'm 47.. I found out recently about what that means. The symbols were a pentagram and the elder gods symbol from the freaking necronomicon (I mentioned that I was an idiot, no?) and two symbols that just popped into my mind. I also recently discovered that one of deities mentioned as an elder God in the necronomicon was Marduk, my grandmother's maiden name was Mordechai.. which apparently means follower of Marduk? I don't follow that, know very little about the Sumerian pantheon. I've recently felt a call to Hecate and oddly enough, Norse Runes have been appearing to me. I've never felt called to that either cause of the racist weirdness, always thought Odin was cool (ima dork, I know). Lots of Deer and Elk popping up in my world too, Gods are neato (metal). Ancestors are cool and trying to tell me something. Anyway, thanks for being awesome and having awesome content brother. Blessings and love from the Old Growth Redwoods.

I love that you pointed out sticking to a path and not getting it all muddy with other paths. Learning a new path is so big in itself, there is no need to make it any bigger with teachings that don't even resonate with ones self... another great video. Thanks Mannon

@Doc Savage this is just my advice. I'm an eclectic who's been on my journey for just over 20 years. People are always free to do as they choose of course, and I encourage anyone to do what they feel resonates with them. I don't need to ask Gardiner, Buckley, or Cunningham. Advice is like being offered a mint. One could always graciously accept it and thank the person, or they can shake their head and politely say "no thank you."

This is very encouraging to actually do something even as a begginer. I came across some staff that I wanted to try but I was telling myself right away that I will leave it for future. After I will learn and read more... But actual trying is learning as well, is calming to hear that little mess up does not have to necessarily messed things up as long as I have the intention in mind. ☺️

GREAT VIDEO !! One other thing I would add ( I think you did touch on this ) when starting out - be VERY CAREFUL when trying to find/join a coven/group/tribe - there are a lot of power hungry manipulative people/groups out there - NEVER just shell out cash or be made to purchase certain items "just because" or asked to do menial chores for the High Priest or Priestess and NEVER should they ask you to do sexual favors!! ALWAYS TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS!!! and you are not REQUIRED to go skyclad!! thats BS - if you are ok with it - then so be it - but there is NO historical precedent that witches gathered this way - think about it - would the witches of Northern Europe be butt naked in the dead of winter outside?? :)

Agree with you 100%.... But disagree about the skyclad evidence. There is tons of evidence of Witches practicing skyclad (weather permitting) see my video on Skyclad and ritual clothing.kzread.info/dash/bejne/in6Hj7uKodO3pNY.html Skyclad part starts at 13:30 in. But regardless..... Being skyclad is NOT a necessity as you mentioned (in some Trads it is such as Gardnerian) and if you are forced to do it... RUN FOR THE HILLS!!! Any Trad should tell you ahead of time if they work skyclad and if they do and it is not your cup of tea then simply don't join that tradition.

I am not young, but I still live with one of my parents. She is open minded, set me on my path a long time ago. My dad is not open minded. Near opposite and "hindered" my path a long time ago. *sigh* I have to hide my beliefs from my dad. But my mom and I share some spiritual wave lengths.

This stuff wears me out!!!

Of all the books that have been recommended, this is the first time I'm seeing Heselton's Wiccan Roots. I thought his book Doreen Valiente - Witch was phenomenal! Now that I have procured Wiccan Roots and finished Moon Magic by Dion Fortune, I'm going to give it a read. Thanks for what I'm sure is a great recommendation.

Thank you 🙂 I can totally see why so many beginners (myself included), can feel so overwhelmed and curious about where to start. Honestly, I've read books from Wiccans who believe in fate, Wiccans with strong opinions on the afterlife and even one who believes in the devil! 🤔 Is it any wonder I felt confused haha. Appreciate the comment about practicing spells. If you don't try it out, how can you learn. Start with basic spells and chart your progress. Learn the elements, aspects and directions. Work on learning, organizing and keep things together. New experiences can be overwhelming. Good advice. Thank you!

I really enjoy watching them Traditional Witchcraft & Wicca in my case I'll the only Solitary Traditional Wiccan ,when I start practicing There aren't any Occult stores in my area at all I've tried three spells ( from both the movies & TV..after rewriting them) & they all worked for me!

Ok so idk that im just starting but as a child and tbru my adult years i would lay down to go to sleep and then not be anle to fall asleep because i was too focused on the people i was watching doing their daily lives, shopping, arguing, eating dinner, whatever, it was always in black and white and always silent! Like watching a silent movie! I thought everyone did this until i said something to my husband about being tired and was like you know how you see people before u fall asleep and he looked at me like i had three eyes! Lol so no not everyone does this than i met thesr people who seemed nice enough they asked my husband to work on their home where they sold vodo and witchcraft related items out of, i was fascinated! Until one night wr went over to hang out and i noticed her doll collection and she gave me an odd look and said noone ever asks about her dolls, her dolls seemed alive to me in an odd way, i had to use the bathroom and before going in a friend said wait isnt and he stopped speaking and she said i moved it! I went in instantly knew there was something in there with me got angry w/ her and asked whos in tbe bathroom and what are you keeping in the dolls? She claims im a natural witch as most dont notice these things! Our house was haunted/ we were haunted for years after that! Is there such a thing as a natural witch and what are these " movies "i see?

Ok I did exactly what you are saying not to. That is I read books on wiccan, druids, Norse mythology greek mythology, and many other religions and spiritualities. This is how I came cross my spirituality. My first spirituality was Potawatomi native from my grandfather.

Great tips. Especial about respect your elders. Unfortunately some parents can become abusive about their wishes respect. Pushing the issue can leave you homeless. I laughed about "white and black magick". I was raised to stay away from black magick and only use white magick. So many do's and don'ts... LoL

This is probably a little off topic Mannen but what are your thoughts on 'Randonauting'?! basically it is like a cross between chaos magick and Pokemon go and is an app you can download on your phone via TikTok (so alarm bells should already be ringing there) So what is it about? basically, it claims to use the quantum physics of the 'Fatum project' (you might want to Google that) to bring about whatever your heart desires. Once you have downloaded the app onto your phone you simply think of what you want to appear and your phone will send you to the nearest location of your stated desire. There are rules but they are incredibly vague. Do not do it after dark, do not go alone and do not ask for 'bad stuff' (whatever you think that means) Needless to say, many teens have used it for 'bad stuff' for KZread clout and soon chopped up bodies started appearing in suitcases along with other horrors, such as an recent influx of 'dogmen' and skinwalkers. Perhaps it is just a way for organised crime cartels to dispose of their unwanted gains, but they operate internationally as well as locally so the logistics boggles the brain. Something is not right about this. we are putting matches in the hands of children here and it must be stopped before it's too late.

My was by birth started officially I’m at 13 and more and more by my 20’s and so it’s been over 40 years Etc

I've been a witch since high school and most of it came very easy n natural to me because i feel nomatter who you believe/worship or how you pray or praise the higher powers all know your intent for its not something that can be hidden to them. I switched from being a born again christian. I just made my alter about a month ago that part is new to me. Ive gotten alot deeper into witchcraft but I won't claim Wicca because i don't fully follow no one solid path. However my question is if your going through stuff or your mind is cluster f***** is it bad to work at your alter till your mind is clear? I feel guilty like im bringing in bad energy which i don't mean to but i enjoy being at it like my solitude place where i bring my offerings n light my incense n try to focus on the scents i love n hope to leave my worries to the goddess to help relieve me of when in need of guidance.

Sometimes wishes or spells seem to go the "monkey's paw" way; by that I mean that you get what you wanted but through an undesired event (and it's not that fun to say the least XD) is there a way to minimise the probability of them doing that?

It worked. It always works. Now you have to do the rest and walk with air for 30 days. An Athame is a tool ruled by air.

Absolutely.... You should journey with them every few years. As you grow you change so it's wise to redo the journeys figure every 3 years

God Jesus came from heaven to die for you so he can make you holy. He loves us despite our fallen nature. If you want to go into paganism please read before the New Testament a book of only %250 pages. God bless you and have a nice day!
