Dan is like that one girl out of your league that will randomly hit you up every 3 months and never talk after that. It’s like yeah it was fun 2 hours but you just leave me wanting more.

Just seeing a notification from her gets you super excited and you don't need to even see the content of the message as you know you are about to have a good time . Then when she ghosts you after those couple of hours, you keep rereading your chat history to feel that high again.

It's awesome to know that these two guys have such a great chemistry between each other. I remember almost 20 years ago (or wait, it was 20 years ago) hearing Jeff Marek on Live Audio Wrestling on AM radio. It's amazing to see how far he's progressed in his career into mainly a hockey type of guy in the local Toronto media. And i still remember back on live audio wrestling shows on the radio where he would literally spend the majority of the show talking about hockey goons fighting. That was the spark right then and right there with the guy on am640 in Toronto. At that time that station had the rights to radio broadcast the Toronto Maple Leafs games. Guy has gone a long way from those old pro wrestling radio shows and he's really one of the best guys on Sportsnet when it comes to hockey. He's one of the few guys at sportsnet that's worth listening to. Shame that they keep him on the TV broadcasts for Leafs games during the mid week because he's soooo much better than whatever the fuck sportsnet has been trying to do ever since they dropped a billion or so on the TV rights to hockey night in canada a few years ago. This interview was great.

I had the privilege of being at the original event "The End is Always Near" book tour last October! My good friend couldn't make it as he was out of town. I had the generous idea of getting my friend a signed copy as a surprise. A few weeks later - I delivered it and to my chagrin his parents had also been at the event and had the exact same gift idea. Dan - apologies for the small % I contributed to what I hope is a recovered case of Carpal Tunnel. Addendum: If there are any "Brain"s out there that want a signed copy of the book dedicated to them! Well - hit me up.

I wish Dan would talk to people in the libertarian movement. Those people would point out that institutions are what failed during this COVID-19 outbreak and businesses are what bailed them out. Institutions developed models that failed. Institutions told us initially not to wear masks. Institutions, abroad and domestic, silenced doctors trying to warn of this virus. Institutions, with highly political motives are the failure and let's all watch as businesses develop remedies for this and bail us out.

@Chris Peters I'd suggest listening to Tom Woods, Bob Murphy, Scott Horton, Dave Smith and/or Michael Malice for starters. I don't support the bailouts at all. I agree and think they're gross however, private industry is currently on the leading edge of research for treatments and vaccines for COVID-19. Now ofcourse they're taking government subsidies so are they private? Eh. Kinda. Its more grey than anything but it all lies in the incentive structure. They're more likely to figure this out than anyone. Maybe im wrong though. Maybe someone at the CDC or WHO figures out a vaccine or treatment. We'll see.

Very happy to see you back Dan. I felt compelled as someone who watched tech take over society to comment on something. I was part of the last generation to grow up without cell phones. I think you have underestimated the right grip this has on people. I don't have much faith in society or us as a species changing due to this. Social media, the internet, has changed how we communicate fundamentally. People are very selfish now and believe everything is short term. I just don't believe at all anything will be very different than what it was. People will largely go back to exactly how things were

@BLUE DOG Diagnosed with severe depression in THIRD grade, anxiety came along with it and both only get worse with age.(20 years later no medication works for either problem) The one and only thing I still enjoy doing is passively enjoying stories. Thus movies, games, books all work but doing those things does not earn you income. It's possible to USE those interests to do things that create income but all of those require a ton of extra stuff that isn't just passively enjoying the stories and therefore I have no desire to do it. Doing so eventually turns your interests into a job which in my case would mean it no longer interests me and my desire to do said thing would cease. I've been mastering reading, watching movies, and games my entire life and no unless you actually do something with x that other people want you will NEVER get money from x.

@BLUE DOG "Psychiatry is a Cult." Citation needed extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Sadness is not depression, everything you said about sadness is irrelevant, sadness is not my problem, at this point I don't actually feel sad anymore BECAUSE of the depression, if you understood what depression was and what it could do you would know that it is never just sadness, sounds like someone lied to you in order to make you distrust something they dislike. "A true soul?" Another citation needed lol, and solitary confinement huh? I guess that makes sense considering the the things you're telling me, abuse a human that much and just about anyone is going to come out saying crazy things.
