Ha ha, I so thought the same about Mew's floor! But when I remembered Top's past and him being caught in that fire as a kid, the fact that Mew didn't just rip up the drawing but actually burned it in front of Top is hardcore. But Mew's whole vilain/revenge era is SO damn delicious and I love that we are being reminded that Mew was never some fragile little thing. But yes, Mew getting a rebound I was all for, but it being Ray, hell no! I get it, because Mew is clearly hurting and then it's tempting to tell yourself that one should chose the person in your lif who was always there for you. So I get why Mew was tempted when Ray said all those things to him. But NO! Mew, find a rebound somewhere else! I think Nick chosing to actually tell Mew about the tape was his first step towards trying to let go of Boston. That's how I read the scene back then, but I was still surprised when I watched it. And Cheum using the water hose on the guys like they are a pack of fighting dogs, is just the funniest thing to me :D:D

I personally absolutely i agree mew is 100% taking advantage and literally using him as a rebound like he CLEARLY knows ray is struggling with getting over him and its illogical for mew to say all that to ray AND GIVE HIM HOPE??? very very messed up

Yeah I think What The Fuck just about sums up every episode of only friends. And Ray looks so happy finally having mew “return” his “feelings” it’s sad. And Sand😢.

I actually thought Ray getting into the car crash would be his rock bottom and the start of his redemption, but clearly it wasn't. And honestly I am not suprised, because 1) He survived the car crash, so he feels invincible, 2) His dad and friends still coddle him, makes excuses for him and thereby enable him to continue, and 3) He got away with being a bitch to his friends, they almost thanked him for it and even ended up apologising to him instead. - So why would he change, when he got away with it? So he obviously still has a long way to fall, before he's ready to make any changes, which is a scary thought! And just for the record, I have people with alcohol/substance abuse problems in my imediate family, so I get the struggle of being a next of kin in that situation. So I am not faulting either the dad or the friends, I am just saying that at the end of the day, they aren't doing him any favours! But I know first hand, that you can't help someone who doesn't want help or even think they need help to begin with. And tbh I totally related to the dad just being fed up coming to his sons rescue all the time, but without it having any sort of impact, Mew expressed the same in an ealier episode. I also know that the favorit tool in an addicts tool box is deflection, so when Ray said to his dad about not caring about the mom either and I saw the look on the dad's face, I was ready for another flashback - because in that instant I felt like this is the story Ray has been telling everyone for sympathy and to justify his behavior. But judging by the way the dad spoke with Sand, I think there's still more to the story. The line between making excuses and giving an explanation can sometimes be really thin. But I think Top balanced it perfectly. He didn't try and excuse himself or anything like that, he told Mew exactly why it happened, without pushing his accounterbility away. He took complete responsability for his actions and apologised for them, saying he was wrong. And honestly that's also why there's a big difference between how I view Boston and Top, and why I think Top is redeemable and Boston isn't. No one is denying that what Top did was wrong, but he is redeemable by the simple fact that he had already started redeeming himself and changing his behavior while pursuing Mew. Essentially it's two versions of him colliding, his past behavior vs his present one. And he is now trying to be accountable and make amends. Whereas Boston isn't showing any type of remorse, empathy or just basic understanding of why his behavior was wrong - instead he keeps pointing his fingers at everyone else and belittles their feelings along the way. Top took responability for what he did and apologised - Boston didn't. And that's the difference! The first step in redemption and forgiveness is acknowleding and admitting you did something wrong, and Boston just isn't capable of doing so. I truly think he's a psychopath or something like that - he has all the characteristics of one! About Nick helping Mew, I think he is hoping that all of this will eventually lead Boston to be completly alone, without his dads support or his friends - and as a result Boston might turn to the only one who is still there: Nick. That's my theory anyway! Also, the fact that Nick basically gave the same speach to Sand (that Nick being in love with Boston isn't Sand's buisness) as Boston gave to him (that Boston sleeping with Top isn't Nick's buisness) - was perfect example of how this show uses mirrored scenes and writing! Also, Cheum hosing the boys down was iconic 😂

I agree with you 36:34 . And it seems that Mew’s defenders only arguments regarding this part is to divert the attention to «but also Ray did or say… », «but take into consideration that Mew is going through or feeling this and that… » People, that is not the topic. And why are u all trying to justify this by pointing out others’ mistakes? It doesn’t absolve his mistakes. The most delulu ones, don’t even realize or acknowledge Mew’s mistakes. Mdr

I think the problem with Boston is how he treats and talks about others. For example how he talks about top just icks me. Like he doesn't see him as a person but as an object (in ep 3 "I had him first. I have my rights" and in this ep "I just borrowed him for a bit"). He doesn't care how others feel. He only cares about himself at the end of the day. But he doesn't want to feel/be alone, so thats why he does the wrong things in secret or lead people on (nick for example) so that he still has them in his life.

Mew is a very revengeful person with strong morals. He's already found something over Boston to show him he's not one to play with and now it's Top's turn. Mew doesn't have feelings for Ray but he wants to see If he could have something there. But I feel like that's only one side of this coin that Mew is using

I get what you're saying about Mew, but at the same time we need to think about all the shit Ray has done to him. He's constantly love bombing him, pushing his boundaries and trying to get with him. I wouldn't put the blame on Mew, but Ray for doing exactly what Boston wanted. Ray saw an opportunity to finally get with Mew, because Mew is emotionally vulnerable. Mew has just been hit in the face by his cheating ex, and his best friend keeps pestering him about why he would choose Top, when he was right there. Ray has continued to try to pursue Mew even when he knew/thought Mew was in a loving and committed relationship, just because he wanted Mew for himself. He attempted to showcase his feelings with a kiss, against Mew's consent, even though Mew has constantly set up his boundaries. Ray has also told Mew that he does not have feelings for or did not want to date Sand, and Mew believes Ray only likes him. Althrough the time that Ray has been bonding with Sand, he has also tried to get with Mew. And is still doing it in the latest episode, even though Mew has just been through his first heartbreak and asked Ray to stop trying. Ray's first thought is to ask why he wasn't chosen, and putting pressure on him by saying "I'm not the right one because you have never given me a chance". At this point, Ray is making Mew doubt himself and his feelings. Mew's genuinely hurt and feels like it's his fault for choosing Top, and thinks that maybe Ray was right.

Spoiler Mew says it himself he was using ray. Not that ray is a saint with the way he is going to handle everything in the next episodes. Ray was not actively trying to be with mew though. He was obviously jealous of top but he never stopped mew from pursuing his relationship with top. When he was with sand he was not trying to be with mew . He probably was not serious with sand but he did not look like someone who thought he had a chance with mew. He had slipped up the day Boston reminded him of his crush on mew. Then again his focus went back to sand after that. If mew hasn't opened this opportunity himself ray wouldn't have tried. The problem came when he was not able to let go off sand when he finally got the chance to be with mew Mew might have considered ray's reason of him being loyal and trustworthy as a reason to give him a chance which we all know was bullshit from ray's side cause he was neither of those with Mew in his relationship with him but Mew was primarily using ray's feelings to get back at top and for selfassurance

@@ace_1998 Spoiler// Mew feels like he used Ray because he wasn't able to love him in the end, but he still gave him a fair chance and actively tried to. Through the show until this point, Ray had started to express his feelings to Mew once Top came into the picture. For example, he kissed him without consent while he knew Mew was together with Top. And later when he went to apologise, he still asked why Mew wouldn't want him. We know Ray had tried multiple times when Mew hadn't initiated anything. And even in this ep, Mew said that he couldn't see Ray as anything more than a friend, and Ray continues to put pressure on him and say its because he hadn't given him a chance. Once again Mew rejected him, but Ray pushed the boundary to get what he wanted until Mew felt like he was the one in the wrong since he had chosen a cheating playboy over his best friend who had always been nice to him Ray didnt have his focus on Sand until wayyy later in the show. He used Sand as a way to try to get over Mew, but still always put Mew before Sand. For example, when he ditched Sand mid make out to take care of Mew. When Mew rejected him again, he went back to Sand because the one he wanted put boundaries up against him. But then he went on to try to guilt Mew again. Exact same thing happened when Ray tried to pressure Mew into having sex with him, and saw it as his right since he had been a good friend. He was spending his time with Mew, but once he didnt get what he wanted, he went after Sand.

Mew knows how to say no to Ray though and feels fine doing so. He only gives Ray a “chance” because he wants to hurt Top. Ray isn’t tricking him into it nor is Mew doing it out of pity or feeling like Ray is what he deserves, or anything like that. He’s doing it to get back at Top and, knowing Ray’s feelings for him, knows it’s an easy way to do it. I would 100% agree with you if “revenge” wasn’t on Mew’s mind. If Mew did “give in” that easily and Ray was using him when he was at his lowest, you would be completely correct. But that isn’t the situations here. Mew is purely doing it because he’s upset at Top, not because of Ray. He doesn’t want to give Ray a chance, but is pretending to because he’s upset at Top. In this instant, the only one being manipulated is Ray.

Ray started developing some sort of feelings for sand by ep 4 , he just was not aware of its magnitude. You are saying as if ray cheated on Mew the day Mew rejected ray's advance on having sex. Technically no. Ray was pursuing sand from the start of his relationship with Mew like him wanting sand to be with him during his social work ( even before asking Mew), music room kiss and the talk by the river I don't know what to make of it whether they had been still sleeping together while ray is with Mew. Also if Mew has genuinely given him a chance he would not have let ray off the hook for cheating that easily unless he was also guilty Both Mew and ray were in the wrong. Mew is definitely not an angel here

​@@ace_1998 Even if Ray had feeling for Sand, he did not explicitly state it, unlike how he did with Mew. And he still used Sand as a way to get over Mew. Sand even explicitly said that Ray was cheating on Mew, and Ray agreed. Mew also said that Ray did the exact same thing as Top. I never said Mew was an angel, he has his faults too. But saying Mew is a bad person or is just using Ray is wrong. Ray is a bad person who does whatever he wants to get what he wants. Ray has a bigger part of this than Mew, and I'm tired of people defending Ray and his actions.

episode 8 is horrendous just a heads up lmao. its the worst one in the entire series

Interesting, I like episode 8. Episode 4 is probably my least favorite, though still good.

Mew has been my least fav character of the entire series. I would rather accept Nick’s pathetic obsession over Boston or Boston very often being messy and a bad friend
