Sand is my favourite character by far. The end of the episode hurt

this is one of my favorite episodes mainly because i love sand’s character and its a sand-centric episode and we get to know more about him & his life. the ending was also so heartbreaking and im a sucker for pain.

I think the whole idea of the blind dining was about senses. Mew said very early on that he's good a judging when someone is sincere with him, and he feel very certain in his tick-system. So by having them go on dates which messes with his senses (no touching at the laser game, no hearing at the silent disco and now no eye sight at the blind dining), it shows him slowly being deprived of his senses, not only the physical ones, but also his common sense - and as a result he isn't actually able to judge Top clearly anymore. Question is, what happens if he actually get's the lasik and his eye sight is restored? The thing with the guys checking out Top, was more about Mew noticing that Top didn't engage with them, flirt back or let his eyes wander away at any time. And that's why Mew said to Top, that he trusted he only had eyes for him. But Top still noticed Mew's insecurity about, which is why he posted the picture of them together - to announce that he is now a taken man. And all of that made Mew conclude that Top is being truthfull and honest when he says he only has eyes for him. And that, along with the fear of losing him, convinced him to finally sleep with him. And now the ultimate test comes - was Top only in it for the hunt of the virgin? Or is he actually sincere in his pursue of Mew? I don't trust a word Boston is saying. He isn't tired of the hook-up culture, he is trying to beat Top in a game of monogamy, because he thinks it will make Top jaloux. And he wants Mew to sleep with Top, because he's banking on Top to dump him afterwards. And so I think he made a calculated mess at the end, because he needed to drive a wedge between Ray and Sand. Boston doesn't want Ray to attach himself to Sand and move on from Mew, because he needs Ray to interfer with Mew, once he get dumped - so that the path to Top will be clear.

Actually, Top fell in love with Mew from episode 2, top mistake he didn't ask Mew directly about his relationship with Ray and instead trusted Boston more, to be honest this was probably due to his childhood trauma, he was afraid of being abandoned

about TopMew the blind dinner date (both dates about senses Hearing Seeing) but it was to show Mew falling in love like those movies where the person falls for the other esp for the first time everything becomes clearer and everything else disappears its to show that Mew fell in love with Top right there

The eyerolls you do everytime Boston does anything, cracks me up :D :D I love hating Boston through this whole show and was also so curious about his motives. I see him being SO driven by his own ego, and you also get a glimps of that in how he is in the friend group in the beginning. Boston likes being the "top dog" in the group. In his mind he's the "top" since Mew is just some virgin, Ray is a drunken mess and Chuem is a girl and in a "boring" relationship". But then the "real" Top messes with that dynamic and Boston can't handle that. That's how I see his inner logic being in these first episodes, and why he's so ready to mess with his whole friend group. And yes, I yelled at the screen the first time I saw that messy end scene, and it's fucked up what Boston did to Ray. But I honestly think he's still so driven by ego so he excuses it with "I'm just being honest here" and still thinking Ray and Mew should be together, so Top is not with Mew anymore. Damn, yes, Neo is so good as Boston and has been the most interesting character for me to try and figure out :D Another thing I love about this show are the smaller themes/storylines we get each episode. Like this episode with Sand and his 25hours. I think we get the same with Mew this episode and the idea of seeing someone for who they really are. That's why I don't think you should take the Dark Dinner scene so literal. It's the whole idea of "can you see someone's true nature", that's why we also have the conversation about Mew getting lazics. Another theme of seeing/not seeing. And that's why Mew decides to sleep with Top, since it's Mew letting go of his own control during that dinner, and feeling like he's seeing Top truly. Mew and Top during that dinner can't literally see each other, but that scene with them being suddenly alone in the restaurant I see as Mew "seeing" with his heart and emotions instead. And then I can't expand more on this explanation, or else I will give you spoilers, haha

xD I can't forget the story Mark (Nick) said to Neo (Boston) in one of (their) 1st Kissing scene(s) he told him, with the script in the hand "If we're done 😘 here, you leave to that side!" Neo was like "okok I'm not dumb!" 😘 and he walks off on the wrong side. 😂 😂 somehow that's funny...also Neo seemd slightly embarrassed by that....I tink he shouldn't it's funny and eventuall cute 😂 😂

correction it was Neo who was currently reading a script after hearing it again but still funny as heck. Also for someone who is clumsy without being kissed I feel Neo a lil bit 😂 😂

Am I the only one who noticed that Mew's first time with top was ON THE COUCH?!?! I mean...they had a huge, comfortable bed RIGHT THERE!! And they did it on the couch...

Sand has been telling him they aren't more than friends, that he doesn't want him as more than a friend etc multiple times up til now and at the bar when R asked him why he didn't tell him it was his bd he said something like "who the hell do you think you are to know that" jokingly but still Ray would be in the wrong saying they are more than friends without clearing it with Sand first + I don't think Ray really believes someone can really like him even if he kinda know Sand does.

If it wasn’t for Boston sand and ray would have kept progressing healthily until they naturally fell together 😞 It’s almost the finale and I’m still mad about the end of this episode

I'm so glad you agree, I think Mew is adorably cute in his glasses. Boston is the biggest asshole in this whole show. Their friendship group is really questionable, they don't hang out or talk to each other except for when they go to the bar. Only Mew and Ray gives me real friendship vibes

It is kind of intresting to see someone being there in these shows where one was a cople days-weeks ago 😂 😂 In case you ever switch your liking and silliking of characters don't feel confused, I think the majortiy had a "marry go around" on that stuff. 😉 😉

someone mentioned that all the dates top and mew had one of the senses was „blocked“, first no touching with the laser tag, than no hearing with the silent disco, now no seeing in the restaurant. found this just really interesting. them sleeping together was cute. and my poor nick. he wants to be like top to be more attractive to boston, and the saddest thing is, it worked. but no, just because boston is „a slut“ and likes to sleep with a lot of people doesn’t excuse him being recorded against his will (and two times already, what he mentioned and from nick). but their pool scene was so sweet for me. ray and sand were so happy, the way nobody else at the concert mattered anymore. love them so much. like you said at the end, because boston is unhappy he has to see everyone around him unhappy as well. his only motive was to create chaos. the way he observed every movement ray and sand did to understand what their relationship is, to know what to say to make it hurt the most. i love him and i don‘t think he is an evil person, but here he was horrible and if i was ray i would never speak to him again. how can you be friends after this? sand‘s sadness broke me.

In the restaurant Mew (and also Top and any other guest) are blind, bc you dine in total darkness. That's the purpose of it. The bit of light is just for us (and I think for the actors as well to not make a total mess with eating), so that we can see what's happening. So they both sat there not seeing anything and then Top was asking Mew to use his imagination to envision what their date might look like or what Mew wants it to look like. Therefore it makes sense and has nothing to do with good or bad eye sight.

Haha and this show is somewhat based on realitiy of at least one of the screenwriters, if I belive the word on the street aka comment section basing this of twitter. =) And in case you didn't know there is a spotifiy playlist for the soundtrack of this show, bc for many of us it's one of the best they've ever had thus far. 🕺 🕺

This is so much fun rewatching with your reactions. It so takes me back and is very similar to my reactions and you also reacted like me to Boston hitting/shoving Nick down when he was fighting Ray, Boston is abusive to Nick in multiple ways and many reactors missed that. I also just dislike Boston so much but think Neo is doing such a good job and I like that they have such a character in the series.
