Most enjoyable. My uncle migrated to Canada in the 70s. Many of such early immigrants would have undergone similar hardships and more. Ushaji, kudos to you for showing the courage to tell your story. You are speaking for all such immigrants who carried a sense of adventure and hope deep inside. My uncle once told me that the happiest day in his life was when he bought a car so that he never had to stand in a bus shelter again in freezing Toronto winter!! I could appreciate what he told only years later when I travelled to Canada on business ...

Religion what do you think most people in the gulf region do . Every one doesn't have a white collar job ? The labour camp speaks for itself . Even teachers in the gulf region are exploited . *The gulf is a slaughter house of human rights and nothing much to envy*, but in Kerala, people will expect you to work everywhere else and wouldn't take same job at home . *Kerala is a superficial illusion land with big houses and equally big fat egos* There are Princeton graduates who had to pick up garbage . I just heard his testimony.

@@lailarafiq123 At any given place, mallus excel with their sheer hard work. It goes as a nature for mallus. But symbiosis pune is like the MIT of India. So a post graduate from there, going for a cashier cum cleaner can't be fathomed. In Gulf, with a 6 y experience, i have seen the worst of humanity because of the nature of my work. Seen a lot of mallus doing poorly, doing well n excelling.

I am in a state where daily i get rejection letters by mail. Initially i used to feel heartbroken but after Usha deedi said now i am taking it as a positive thing to apply for more jobs. Great person you are Mam.

Raveena Bashir never lose hope. It took me several years to find a job despite of good experience in India. Try and try until you succeed. Cut off any negativity that comes and depressed you. Start with any job - not necessarily corporate. Best wishes.

believe me , ഞാൻ ആ lift കഥയും പഹയന്റെ റിയാക്ഷനും വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും ഒരു 4 പ്രാവശ്യം കേട്ടു, ഹഹഹ വളരെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. Her story is far far inspirational than listening to any motivational speaker who has no experience of their own. Truly amazed by the difficulties she had to face and the determination with which she overcame all of those, and proud to say NDA and KV upbringing has played a major role in that. Reminds me of a song I learnt in KV "Hum honge kaamyaab ek din, oho man mein hai vishwas..."
