When I saw the thumbnail I immediately dismissed this apartment, but fought off my initial reaction and tried to appreciate the process of exploring the space … until the price was revealed. This apartment would need to located immediately above my employment, have included full meals and bar, and gym with spa facilities included to have such unusable layout and premium rent.

If they had painted the whole apartment white and used wood floors throughout it would look so much nicer. Furthermore, why not hide the pipes down the sink? You cannot put anything under this anyway, so give it a door for a nicer look, maybe with knife holder. Instead of just a mirror, they could have done a mirror cupboard for a bit more storage space. That's just 3 tweaks to instantly make this a lot better.

The Journey to find an ideal Micro Apartment will definitely continue... I like the fact that you could put a larger refrigerator in the open area and you have a washer/dryer, but some doors on the open space under the sink would have been nice, plus I don't see how you could even get a small bed in that narrow space. That, and the monthly rent is so much more. Keep looking Usui-san, you will find the right one eventually.

Why do they design spaces with no place for a bed? Or any clothes storage? Those are essential. That narrow area needs to be a meter wider. Space for the bed and to walk up to the side of it.

Oh, you have a Miles Morales Lego figure too! As for the apartment, while there is definitely only one place for a bed (just the mattress), if you could build a platform as high as the window is low with a means to pull out the furthest of storage, then it could work, then have a folding desk under the second window with enough space to open the washer/dryer or cook without folding it away. Plus there's room for a fridge, amd you could put some longer term storage there for things you don't use or need often. Only thing that worries me is the kind of walls in the shower look like plaster and rent, although I suppose that's because of where it is. Thanks for another tour.

With every apartment with strange layout, I wonder how the neighbours apartments are shaped. ^^ I like the entry, which is kind of separated from the rest (you dont open the door and have a sink or the toilet in first sight). I also like the somewhat separated "bedroom". But it is that small, that you have to walk on the bed to open/close the window. And that the room is sunny seems not to be very helpful, since this is not the place where you would put a desk (even if I would want to put it there). Maybe you could use some kind of folding bed for this space? I do not like the concrete walls and ceiling, but this is my personal opinion. So I also do not like the floor tiles in the main area. This is where you would place a desk or table for eating. (Right next to the washing machine... hmmm). The kitchen doesnt have any storage space, which is sad. It would have been nicer, if a fridge would be placed under the sink (where the washing machine is) and the washing machine between sink and bathroom. This would be more "senseful" in my eyes ^^' Washing room... With the shower not very separated from the toilet it is okay, that there is no toilet paper space there - it would get wet, I think? At all, this is not the ideal micro apartment, I think.

I have mild claustrophobia so could never live in an apartment/flat, like that!!! - Shoe storage above the entry door I think hahahaha, such a very small genkan!! An internet access there?? WTF????????????????????? Are we giants?? But maybe Spidye would help you out here? ROFL! - Those escape ladders are fab, would love this in our country too (in apartments, but also in and houses upstairs!). - I would place a 1-person-loft bed in that narrow space with the ladder at the foot end (so on the narrow side of the bed instead of the long side!) and maybe you could place something under the bed than: storage or other? - Folding table and chairs underneath those kitchen windows could be a solution?! - WHAT??? That is expensive, that rent!!! Love from an old rebel-Pinkie

Hi! I'm loving this series!! (But not this appartement, lol. Bit too narrow) Is there anyway you'd consider adding the length and width of the appartement to the small floorplans? I love planning/decorating along with you, but it's a bit hard guessing what could fit where at times. Keep up the great vidoes!!😊

For its square footage, it feels very cramped. And with the glass toilet door, might as well be the toilet in the middle of the kitchen. =-) I don't think any of us viewers can forget that apartment. But we have a good laugh about it, at least these apartments all have their own bathrooms/toilets not a shared toilet room.

The builder was smoking some 'stuffy stuff' and created this craziness!!! No way is it worth the price!

This kind of space needs tailor-made foldable and convertible furniture to be somehow manageable. Good point : the two windows and enough space to have a table/desk. Not bad, but nope.

È assolutamente troppo caro!!! Io credo che il tuo appartamento sia più comodo perché la tua stanza è quadrata e permette una m8gliore disposizione dei mobili , inoltre è più economico ❤

If the location is right, it could be worth it. I think I would use a gate-leg table for my desk so I could have a bit of extra room when not using it. And maybe a futon instead of a bed frame.

Love the bathroom and the fact it's a sunny place. The bedroom area is too small. There maybe more square footage but it's not a good fit. And double what your paying now.

This place is one of the most grim you have explored. It has a miserable vibe and the rent is poor value in my opinion. Spider-Man will have to try harder!😂

Big big big no for me, im already missing air 😅 i think it's important to focus on your needs, what are you looking for in your ideal apartment? I guess a square apartment like your feel less cramped cause it has the free center, plus most of the places dont take advantage of the vertical space...

I was just wondering Usui if you would consider a regular-size apartment rather than a micro apartment? By the way I do enjoy seeing all these other types of micro apartments around Japan and I like watching your videos 🙂

You might want to familiarize yourself with Usui's minimalistic ideology. See if you can watch the first episodes. He doesn't need a normal flat for his simple living style. Good luck. ☺️

Interesting space. The lack of actual useable storage and the price make it a no for me.

We keep being shown apartments with glass around the toilet and bathing area that isn't frosted or anything, and I am very confused by this trend. I understand wanting natural light and the feeling of having more space while using these facilities that can be brought by a window, but SURELY that doesn't mean showing the toilet off to the whole space for all occasions? Who decided that was a reasonable trade-off? And why are so many people taking this philosophy into account when building apartments?

If it was half the price of your apartment, it could be a good choice. Possibly.... But _at that_ price? No!
