For me it was almost impossible to actually rank the shows in OS2, because in all honesty they were all pretty mediocre! And at first I had to group them in pairs, because I couldn't actully distinguish them - but if I am forced to make an actual rank, it would look like this: 8: Star In My Mind - It was just really boring. If they had prolonged the plot point of Kluen and Nuea pretending to fight they could have made an actual story out of that, but just like we see now in Hidden Agenda, they resolved the issue almost before it happened, and so it had no dramatic intrigue. 7: The Eclipse - I really hated the end of the series, because I felt like they handled Thua being a horrible friend as if it didn't matter and also the whole idea of the movie made a mockery of the actual issue the students faced; and so I really couldn't care less about how it did in the contest. And I thought Ayan was acting like an ass, belittling Akk's feelings, shushing and patronising him. Also, I am not a fan of stories that revolves around surprise that in fact hurt the other party along the way. That's neither fun or romantic, it's mean! 6: A Boss And A Babe - My main reason for putting it in the bottom half is because already two weeks after watching it, I had actually forgotten all about the story. I remembered the role switch, but I had no idea why they did it or what it lead to. So it made no impact on me, it was just bad carbs. Of course now that I have just watched it with you, it's fresh in my memory, but that shouldn't really affect my final thoughts as they were when I finished OS2. 5: Vice Versa - The one I was least excited for was VV, because I thought that the whole show was a mess that didn't make any sense in the end. But I actually really liked the story of them getting a kid. And if they had sticked to that story, that one of the had fathered a kid while being switched, it would probably have been my favorite of the bunch! Yeah definitly! Sadly they didn't! 4: My school President - I was very excited about MSP (it's my nr 1 show of 2023!), and at first I thought the role swap was very funny, and them clowning themself and the show was fantastic, but in the end I did feel like repeating the lines became a little stale and uninspisred. Also, Por as the wingman didn't do Tiwson justice. To be fair, no one could! 3: Bad Buddy - I was actually really nervous about watching BB. I was afraid Ohm and Nanon couldn't pull of the sweetness of their brand anymore and I did worry that the merge with TOTS was to cover it up. And to some extent, I feel that's what happened, since they were apart for more than half of their episodes. But I think the crossover was a funny set-up and there were a few times when I felt the PatPran/OhmNanon spark (especially at the end here). To me it just felt like it was a bitter sweet goodbye, but at least we got one. Also they completly missed the perfect opportunity of having Drake as his BB character play his TOTS character in the play - that would have been comedy gold! 2: Tale Of 1000 Stars - TOTS had my favorite episode of OS2 (ep 16 - the finale), in large becuase of the proposal. Sure Phupha and Tian was also apart for a big chunk of their story, but it felt different than PatPran - but that could be me projecting. Overall TOTS gave me that nostalic feeling I was looking for in OS2 with all of the the flash backs and the OST - so I felt teleported back to that emotional state they left me in. It was just great to be back in their company! 1: Never Let Me Go - I still wonder how and why this became my favorite?! NLMG was the only OS2 story that didn't match it's OG series, continue the storyline or stayed in the same universe - which initially surprised, annoyed and dissapointed me. But! They actually managed to make a complete and full story, with it's own plot, rhyme and reason, no obvious plot holes and no stupid fights. Sure them finding the house and the box seems out there, but since they do have some memories about the place and local area, it's not like they're searching blind - so to me it's not out of the realm of possibilities that they could find it. So as a fan fiction story it worked 100%. And that should be acknowleged! So that's my list. 😅
