I still have my early 90s dome tent, which has not been up in 23 years. My wife keeps saying Bin it. But I can't, it was my first proper Tent. I really should put it up. See if it still goes up with no mice or rats marks in it. Haha. Hey by the way that was interesting. Video to watch really enjoyable. It's good to hear from the manufacturer Logistics side of it. I always said Roman made the best sleeping bags, but now our new Oztrail bag is the Bees Knees. Cheers

Really enjoyed this podcast...always liked Oztrail as a brand, swear at least half the gear I've bought over the years has been Oztrail 😂 ...I'm digging the overlander range, and swag awning...but one thing that's missing is airtents, when the hell they gonna start doing airtents 🤦‍♂️ (Coleman the same to) that's all I'm interested at the moment, hence I won't be buying another oztrail or Coleman tent anytime soon. That's definitely one part of the market oztrail are missing.

I haven't heard anything about them entering the air tent market, I'm sure it's something they've discussed behind closed doors though. ~ Ben

I went to many places in Sydney to test Oztrail seats. Most shops only has 1 model. The rest there their own brand or others I had never heard of. "Hot spot" forget it. No store had them. In the end I had to order from Snowys without trying the seat out first. It seems everyone now copies the Snowys logo, Black /grey and orange. Darche, Crashpad, Oztrail and several others do it now. Darche could learn something about swags here. Put the canvas flap inside the mozzie mesh. Darche 1550 has those angled corners.

Might be getting confused with Oztent, I reckon Darren. They heave the orange/black style logos, and the HotSpot chairs ~ Lauren

Great show As a 4x4 er it would be great to make a rollout awning 3m long and 2.5 out That way our swags would be under cover Cheers

Love if Oztrail could develop a vehicle awning ( with the 2 standard outer poles/legs ) that could be easily disconnected from vehicle by a short distance and inner poles/ folded legs drop down so camp can remain setup while vehicle can move away

Good to see an interview with OZtrail, we have been looking into one of their tents The "Fast Frame BlockOut 4P Tent" with Front vestibule. SKU: 10000114 Not enough tents come with a vestibule these days especially canvas versions in a realistic packed up size. Our group go camping / touring in vehicles like Prado's, Everests etc We would like to see some canvas tents that pack down into sizes similar to the above tent Most canvas tents pack up way to big to even fit into one of our vehicles or are too heavy to put on the roof. Even the canvas tents that pack up square are not convenient as most of use roof boxes. There may be a market for canvas tents with built in Front vestibules along the lines of the "Fast Frame BlockOut 4P Tent" So us oldies can manage it.

Canvas is an awesome material for camping gear, its fallen away with modern materials these days, unless you're looking for heavy duty 4WD/touring gear. ~ Lauren

What’s happening with the Oztrail fast frame 3 person tent that competes against the Coleman Swagger? Is this something Snowys will be getting in? No stock at Snowys but Oztrail have them available on their website?

I think we dropped it from our range on account of poor sales, the Swagger has the market largely covered there. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors I hear what you’re saying but the swagger has a few issues with the fly touching the inner when wet and condensation which can be fixed with a pool noodle, but you shouldn’t need a noodle to fix that issue if you hear what I’m saying, and the Oztrail doesn’t need any of that from what reviews on the Oztrail. Hope Oztrail bring out a new model even better, or I’ll just go for the SAN Hima air swag..
